Kim Kardashian Selfish

One of the most beautiful Women I have ever, or ever will see. I love Kimberly Noel Kardashian. Thank You so much for an un-believably positive and breathtaking contribution to our society. The pictures are intimate, they are beautiful and tell a story. There's every type of picture, from elegantly dressed, to breathtakingly nude. Again Thank U! Now I am indebted to take the time to discuss the horrifyingly negative reviews of this book...God loves all of us, forgives every sin, now I understand human-beings do not, but you who are leaving such hateful and angry words need to remember you are disfiguring your own soul to speak such words, and actually worse yet, put them in writing, Christ spoke in the Gospels of the people asking God, "When did we ever deny thee alms?" Christ-"As surely as you denied them to the least of mine, you denied them also to me." Comprehend the moral meaning of this parable extends far beyond the literal interpretation, if you cannot see the connection I am making, you are in BIG trouble. Please read this prayer before you comment further on my review or write a negative review or comment on other negative reviews and support such hatred, you are now accountable, and should you desire to still run toward the fire, I assure you, you will burn... If you have an appreciation for books as art objects and the destruction of societal norms/narratives (think Kathy Acker) you will love this. Kim's use of layout (per example - the black pages framing the "x-rated" section), her refusal to give spoon-feed the reader information (dates and names are sometimes given but often there is no clarity as to which image the information pertains to, and lets not forget the many pages without any text), and her use of images to construct a timeline is absolutely stellar. Kim took the medias exploitation of her body, her sexuality, and her private data, and threw it back in their faces - she refused to be eaten alive and instead is a prospering business woman and mother, fighting in a culture of objectification and hyper sexualization. For a woman to publish a book of herself. For a woman to title it selfish. for a woman to lay claim to her power and refuse to give it up. Kim with this book reclaims her narrative. She stands as a role model for all women who in today's society are told to be pretty, but not too pretty, to have sex, but not too much sex, to be smart, but not too smart, to speak, but not to speak too much... Absolutely a key part of my art and theory book collection. If you just came here to knock Kim, you best sit your ass down and check yourself and the big ol' albatross of misogyny around your sad sorry neck. We live in a society where to love yourself as a woman is considered selfish... Thank you Kim for taking a beautiful jab at misogyny and poking fun at the ludicrous idea that self love should be shamed

Just got the book yesterday. Looked through about half. It's amazing! Plenty of bikini pics. To the guys who love Kim, highly recommended! Kim is beautiful, and this book once again shows that. The female fans will love it too. It has a good description of many of the pics. Some of the pics are old, others are new, so even the diehard Kim fan will see plenty that they haven't seen before. Kim is a trendsetter. Her video game was something new that few celebrities would ever touch. This book can go on that list, the first selfies book of it's kind. When one thinks of the selfie, Kim will likely be the first celeb to come to one's mind. If you love Kim's selfies, as I do, you'll love this book. One last thing: to the haters, stop with your negative reviews. You might actually want to look at something BEFORE you post. You guys are so hateful and close-minded it's truly pathetic. No Kim fan cares what you think anyway.

I was wary after the review that mentioned that pics were poorly placed because of the creases in the book. I'm about 70 pages in, and I have to say, that this isn't as big of an issue as I anticipated. Most of the pictures are on one side of the page or other. Very few overlap across two pages. So as far as I'm concerned, it's a non-issue, at least as far into the book as I am so far. You get what you expected. It's a fun glimpse into pop culture at the moment, a great gag gift, a great gift if you're a fan of Kardashian (and let's make no mistake about it, people spend hundreds of millions of dollars a year to look at pictures in celebrity & entertainment magazines. This is no different), etc. For those who know what they want going in, it lives up. The book also comes wrapped up and sealed, so it makes a nice little gift.

Bought one for me and my best friend for Christmas. Very beautiful books! Even looks aesthetically pleasing on a book shelf or coffee table. One design flaw was pointed out in another review and it's the two page photos that get split in the middle which is disappointing but otherwise it's a very quality book! I especially love the throw back photos with Paris. Very proud of Kim for being able to overcome the terrible, disgusting, completely unforgivable thing Ray J did to her by releasing their pornographic video without her consent and how she has been able to become comfortable with showing her incredible body on her own terms 10/10 ~People telling Kim to get over herself need to get over themselves like you really just took time out of your life to bash someone for basically knowing they look great, showcasing it, and being able to make money off of it. If you could sell a book of your selfies you would, but you can't and you're mad. Chill. Get it, Kim.~

I will need to explain my rating: I gave the book the lowest rating because it is basically praise for a soulless, narcissistic, vapid, basically horrible person. I already knew this before purchasing the book, so this obviously came as no surprise. I gave this as a gag gift to a friend who (in my opinion) has a selfie problem, and I intended it for a gag intervention. It was great fun, but this book is really just a horrible waste of time, money, and space. Heck, it isn't even the proper size to be a coffee table book for fun with guests in your home.

So I mainly bought this book to function as a table book/ to possibly go on a shelf - not so much to be read. So for my purposes, this book definitely works. But obviously when I first received the book I wanted to look through it. The first thing I noticed was that there were kind of a lot of smudges and random black marks throughout the book, as if the ink hadn't been allowed to dry or something (the entire book cover is white and almost the whole book is white pages). The second thing is that the two page spread pictures are basically impossible to see because of the small size of the book (this seems to be a complaint in a lot of reviews I read). The content of the book was decent but I would definitely never buy it just to look at the pictures since a fair amount are pretty impossible to look at.

Kim K lives in her own world and is her own person. That person is one that enjoys elegance, beauty, extravagance and luxury. She makes no apologies for being who she. While most people wear masks and hide who they are to fit in and get along, Kim puts herself out there and says "This is who I am!" She doesn't rub your face in it, she doesn't make a fool of herself to get attention; she is just herself and I personally admire her for it. If you like Kim, you will enjoy this book - although its really a photo essay and not a "book." Its broken out by year and you get to see Kim evolve from a gorgeous young girl to a stunningly beautiful young woman. My only gripe, and the reason I didn't give it 5 stars, is that some of the pictures cover two pages and the book spine and binding cut the picture in half and contort it. Take page 162. Its from 2010 and what would have been a beautiful picture of Kim. Instead, all you get to see is her right eye - the rest of the picture is bent in on itself. Its a shame really. If you are a Kim fan, get this book, you will enjoy it.
