Great for maximalist design or eclectic decor. It’s a good size for added pizazz to any wall. I have it on a corner. Light depends on the bulb, but will spread nicely since there’s no shade. Quality is great. Easy install. A conversation piece for any guest.

Shocked, confused, appreciative, loving it. That was my reaction process when I first received the monkey lamp as a gift. It has truly turned into such a unique and awesome piece decorating my home. You'll find it fun to try different types of bulbs, I finally went with a candle flicker bulb. LED Edison bulbs look cool, but little too bright for nighttime tv watching. Quality is great, solid feel, base is evenly made so there's no wiggling. Shipped and protected very well. A cool and unique item, I don't think you'll be disappointed. 5 out of 5!

I am extremely happy with this purchase. I was very hesitant to purchase this lamp, I sat on it for a while, because it was about half the price of another similar monkey lamp, and I was worried that if I spent less, the quality would be poor. But this lamp is extremely well made and looks perfect. All the details are realistic and clean. I’m very happy with this purchase! If you’re wondering whether or not to buy it - go for it! It’s certainly a statement piece.

Super cute and well-made! I bought it along with the sitting monkey lamp, and they look great together: coordinating but not too matchy-matchy. I can't compare its quality to the super expensive Soretti lamp that is its obvious "inspiration," but it's certainly worth the money on it's own. The only reason I took off a star is because hanging it was a little tricky. Now, I'm not super handy, but I'm not helpless, either. He hangs at an angle, so even though I "measured twice, drilled once," I had a couple do-overs with the drywall fasteners. What ultimately worked for me was putting in the drywall fasteners for his top arm and nailing the arm secure, THEN marking where his bottom foot holes would go. Then I removed him from the wall, made the foot holes with the drywall fastener, and rehanged him, nailing him in top and bottom.

This is a super cute fixture, but for the price I was a little surprised at how cheaply made it is. The finish is similar to a spray paint look. I purchased it in May, hung it in June in a formal dining room that nobody ever goes in, and by September the gold finish had started flaking off. Fast forward to November, and the places where the gold has flaked off are turning green, which is weird. I would say it's probably worth 1/3 of the price I paid for it. Would not recommend.

I love this light! The first light came broken , returned it no problem. Light weight and easy to mount on wall. Needs to be plugged into wall socket like a table light. Takes a light bulb. Looks great! Would buy again

This light has not disappointed. It was a little pricey given the additional time I spent wrapping his cord in twine to look like a jungle rope (I both thanked and cursed the other reviewer who suggested that) and then when I read the review where they dressed him up and hung him in their tiki bar, I of course knew he needed a similar outfit. But he’s here and he’s amazing and he was worth it! My only real complaint is that his cord is quite short and didn’t allow for a lot of hanging room. Maybe it’s a good thing or his “rope” might be draped all around my living room and my husband would truly think I have lost my mind. Either way, Marco and I don’t care. We are living our best lives.
