Great intro to philosophy
Excellent introduction to Philosophy for the uninitiated and even for those who already have a little understanding of philosophy. Written in plain, jargon free, understandable English. Covers the more relevant themes to modern life. Highly recommended for those who are curious and interested but don't know where to start.

Definitely Buy it!
It explains the important major concepts of philosophy clearly and in easy language. It influenced the way I think and understand the world significantly- a steep learning curve.

Great book!
Not only is the book an amazing book through which concepts can be grasped very easily, the author, Chris Horner is an inspiration. I had him as a teacher at college and with the help of Chris and this very book I began to have a real interest in philosophy. I would recommend it as a general read as well as an educational one.

An excellent read!
As someone with an interest in (but no real knowledge) of philosophy, I bought this book as a springboard, hoping it would give me a firmer foundation from which to go on to further study. What an excellent choice! The book covers so many different topics and is written in a clear, concise style, enabling the reader to understand the at times quite complex issues under discussion.Highly recommended, for both students of philosophy and those with a passing interest alike.
