My son has had ear issues for years, and gets ear infections too often. I hate the pain he is in, and I don't like loading my kids up with antibiotics, so I started taking some preventative measures to avoid them. I started looking at ear plugs, and when I found these, I was excited to see they were reusable. Because it came with three pairs, we leave one set at my parents' pool, one set in our bathroom for showers, and I keep one in my purse for when we are out.We did purchase the Ear Band-it to go along with these, and he did use it for a while, however I found that using both together means he can't hear anything. Because of this, we've restricted wearing the plugs and Band-it at places like the beach where he could quickly get too far away and not hear us calling him if we needed, however I am less worried about the salt water causing him problems. Also, in the pool, my son normally wears a face mask because he loves to see underwater clearly, and we found that the band of the mask folds his ear enough that we don't have to worry about the plugs falling out.They are easy enough for a 6 year old to put in by himself, and he says they are comfortable and don't bother his ears, so he doesn't put up a fight to wear them. Of course, it's a small price to pay to avoid an ear infection.

I ordered these for my 8 year old with ear tubes. He absolutely love it and the colors. He enjoys wearing them for his protection and it’s very easy to put in and take out. Definitely recommend!!

These Putty Buddies are by far the BEST ear plugs and longest -lasting I have used! One pair has lasted for months! These are great for adults, I don't know why they don't put that info in the product write-up. I swim 3 or more days a week and I have purchased several brands and some have lasted a bit of time but not like these, they are the best value for the money. Even though they cost a little more, they are worth it. Other reviews have info about them getting really sticky and you should toss them out at that point, but I just roll them into a ball and insert them carefully to get a few more uses out of them (do this only for adults). The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the first package I got had a clear set in it and those didn't last hardly at all, I think it was 2-3 weeks, before they LOST the sticky-ness that keeps them in your ears and were no good. Now I see only colors in the package, so hoping to go 3 for 3 this time.

I have used this product in 3 different occasions on my 5 year old son and 7 year old daughter. This product does appear to keep water out of their ear canal. It would definitely be ideal product for kids and even for adults. My only complaint/concern is the residual silicon smears/pieces that are left around the opening of my kid's outer ear. Luckily the silicon colors are visible so the smears/pieces can be identified and removed. Furthermore, it would be best to not use swimming caps over these ear plugs, because they will smear on the swimming caps also. The ear plugs also gets stuck easily on hairs. Thus, unfortunately I decided to return the product. Others may have better luck than me. If recurrent external ear infections is a concern for your child, then you may consider sticking with this product. What I liked about this product was that it didn't pushed all the way inside the ear canal.

Our pediatrician recommended these for the boys. They kept an ear infection. We recently went to The Wilderness indoor water park in TN and these we a God send. They worked perfect and the boys never complained about them being uncomfortable. They seemed to have had no issue hearing through them either… which was a plus! They stayed in place as well… 1000% approve!

Been using only this brand for two years. I have tried others but the seal isn’t as good & they fall out. Highly recommend these as they actually stay put, are reusable & do what they say!! Worth the extra money. You do have to replace every so often but it’s not gonna last forever.

These are great. We have bought these multiple times. My 8 year old is on his second set of tubes. These are easy for him to put in himself and last through multiple uses. The little carrying case is great to put in the pool bag!
