These are AWESOME!!
I have purchased multiple lots of these on two occasions and am gearing up to order a third lot; I use this product exclusively for weaving--my own projects as well as weaving classes--on peglooms and weaving boards, and the length and sturdiness of the needles make handwork a breeze!! The needle-eyes are large enough to thread all yarns simply, but not so enormous that they hamper movement among the warps. The extra length of the needle makes it possible to use each one as a bobbin for weaving tapestry, as well. They are spectacular with yarn of all weights!! And they aren't stabby, the way even blunt metal needles can be, which is very much appreciated!! And at their price, I am able to afford to allow class members to keep the needle they are using, so they can continue work at home on the projects they start in class. Thank you--I can't say enough good about this product!!!! Buy them!!

Favorite for grade school weaving
I bought several kinds of needles to see what worked with a 5th grade class using the cardboard or wooden board looms. These were the favorites in the affordable (and plastic) categories. The kids liked the length; the teacher didn't want the metal ones in the clasroom. The looms are a 6" width and although they can be woven just with finger weaving, having the longer needles helped the kids to thread through nearly the full width of the loom before pulling the thread through. These would be fine for adult tapestry weaving.

The needle eyes are LARGE.
Large needle eyes make threading with thicker yarns easier. I got these to use in helping me thread warp yarn through the rigid heddles on a small loom; the needle eyes may be too large for that, but they will still work for joining woven/knitted pieces together by stitching the selvages to make wider pieces. These are plastic, but really sturdy, and they DO have sharp points - would work for poking through woven/knitted fabrics, darning socks, etc. - but not sharp enough to hurt yourself - though kids need to be supervised when using them.

Time saver!
I’m making mesh wreaths, just for family and friends, but putting on the decorative signs, bows, or other embellishments were a struggle. HardworkinMom.com recommended the plastic weavers needle and now it’s so much easier and definitely a time saver.
