Sparrow Volume 0: Ashley Wood Sketches and Ideas Hardcover – October 21, 2008

The art in it barely has any robots from his work on robots vs. zombies, nor does it have much, if anything from his tankgirl stuff neither. Disappointing.

It's a really good sampling of Ashley Wood's work. You may recognize some of the pieces from his other works - if not directly pulled, they're very similar thematically. ( I didn't hold sparrow and ZvR complete side by side to check).Keep in mind this is adult content.Also - the book is pretty small, like a little square. It's not a huge coffee table size.It's pretty awesome if you like his work.

As a big fan of Ashley Wood's art, I'd say this is a must have for the collection. The only thing that I am unimpressed with is the actual size of the book. The art definitely deserves a larger page, and doesn't have the feel of a coffee table style art book. I knew this before my purchase, but went ahead with it anyway because it is such fantastic work. Overall, I'm extremely happy with owning this.

I really love the brushes and the line of ashley, and this book show some great ideas and sketches! i really recommend for people like me who appreciate this kind of art.

Great, will buy from again

This is a beautiful little sketchbook filled with interesting ideas. I am a fan of Ashley Wood's markmaking and loose drawing style that still seems to convey a sense of realism. If you like sketchbooks and traditional media I think you will enjoy it.

This book is full of sketches in Ashley Wood's distinctive style, which you are certain to like if you are a fan. I recently bought World War Robot: 215.mm Edition and was surprised at how small it was, well... this is even smaller than that! It has some great pictures inside, but I would have been happier with a larger format and would have paid more for that too. Despite that, it's a nice look into Ashley Wood's thought process and random scribblings.
