DR Strings NYE-10 Nickel Coated Electric Guitar Strings, Medium

I've used these in the past, my first reaction was they felt a bit different, not as smooth as what I'm used to, like there's almost a chalky feel to them under my fingertips. But it wasn't a bad different feel, just a new different feel. As far as sound goes, they sound like strings. What's cool about them is how they pop visually. I just put a set of neon yellows on a yellow guitar with an amaranth neck, and the effect is almost like AI art in appearance. I'm teaching my son guitar online and wanted to make the strings more visible to the camera, and I got exactly the effect I wanted.Hey, if someone over there at DR Strings Inc. sees this review, please forward it to your marketing department, you guys really should be promoting to and working out endorsement deals with online music teachers. Neon strings on a guitar are like makeup on a face, they look better in person and they work better on camera.And if you're a music teacher, don't wait for the folks at DR Strings to reach out, get yourself a set now.

He comprado de distintos colores, de capricho. Tiene buen tacto y calidad de sonido. Las combino con los colores de mis guitarras, para darle mas personalidad. Si están cerca de luz negra, destaca mucho realce....saludos

I really want to love these strings, they look really good if you are only displaying your guitar.But... after only a week of use, not much use either as I'm a full time teacher, the coating is falling off. The twist/braid near the bridge is pretty jagged and the coating is flaking off down there. Further up, I rest my pinky and ring finger near the floating saddle on my Les Paul, and both the b and e strings are rough and the coating is flaking off which is cutting my pinky up. Where I strum, I figured the coating would eventually rub off, but it's OK there. This is not strung with high tension, just normal tuning or drop D. I have some other strings I'll likely re-string it with. Disappointed, yes. I'll probably see if I can salvage these on a non-functional Six Flags Batman guitar to hang somewhere as they seem mainly good for looks.

Habe mir diese schicken Neon Gitarrensaiten für meine ESP LTD H-51 E-Gitarre in black cherry (dunkles Kirschrot, weinrot) gekauft und die Saiten geben ordentlich was her,sehen nicht nur gut aus, sondern halten auch bei mir 9-10 Monate!Werde die Saiten auch auf meine silberne, metallic blaue Schecter E-Gitarre aufziehen & mal schauen,wie das wirkt,kann die Saiten auf jeden Fall empfehlen, sehen optisch gut aus & halten auch durch die Beschichtung etwas länger.VIELEN lieben DANK
