Good buy!
This is a very thivk and sturdy T pole. I only used the pole part of it to use with the 5 line retractable clothes line also sold on Amazon. The pole comes in 3 sections and is 1 1/2 inches wide (or so). I sunk mine down into a 2 inch piece of pvc pipe in the ground, surrounded with concrete and it holds beautifully. I did that so I can put the pole up or take it down as needed. I also attached a tether ball for my kids so it was 2 birds with one stone. This is a good buy in my opinion.

Could be sturdier
I love saving money by drying outdoors when possible. I grew up with a clothesline and had one from the 1960s at our home for years. We recently moved and I wanted to dry clothes outside, but these don't have the heft of the old ones. Just tightening the lines has caused them to start to bend in a little.

Metal not very strong
Just started using these and they are made very cheap already bending not a very good quality item. I would not recommend buying these..

Sturdy clothesline
I wanted to dry my sheets outside, and this type of clothesline has worked out well. I purchased two poles and they arrived quickly. They snap together securely and it's easy to bolt the eye pieces to the crossbar. We dug two holes 18 inches deep, filled the holes with concrete mix, and secured the poles. Then we purchased plastic clothes line and attached them to the 7 eyes. We placed the poles 3 feet from the house, and they are about 16 feet apart. This product is excellent. With this set up, I can dry at least two large loads of clothes. The clotheslines are 6 feet from the ground surface, so they're high enough to dry sheets, but not too high to comfortably reach.Having a clothesline is an easy way to "go green". Despite what people think, I've not had any problems with bird droppings nor bugs on my clothes. The plastic clothes lines do stretch, but with the 7 eyes, it's been easy to re-tighten the clothesline.
