For 10-year-old Sheldon Cooper it isn't easy growing up in East Texas. Being a once-in-a-generation mind capable of advanced mathematics and science isn't always helpful in a land where church and football are king. And while the vulnerable, gifted and somewhat naïve Sheldon (series star IAIN ARMITAGE) deals with the world, his very normal family must find a way to deal with him. His father, George (series star LANCE BARBER), is struggling to find his way as a high school football coach and as father to a boy he doesn't understand. Sheldon's mother, Mary (series star ZOE PERRY), fiercely protects and nurtures her son in a town where he just doesn't fit in. Sheldon's older brother, Georgie (series star MONTANA JORDAN), does the best he can in high school, but it's tough to be cool when you're in the same classes with your odd 10-year-old brother. Sheldon's twin sister, Missy (series star RAEGEN REVORD), sometimes resents all the attention Sheldon gets, but also remains the one person who can reliably tell Sheldon the truth. Finally, there's Sheldon's beloved Meemaw (series star ANNIE POTTS), his foul-mouthed, hard-drinking Texas grandmother who is very supportive of her grandson and his unique gifts. For 11 years on The Big Bang Theory, audiences have come to know the iconic, eccentric and extraordinary Sheldon Cooper. This single-camera, half-hour comedy gives us the chance to meet him in childhood, as he embarks on his innocent, awkward and hopeful journey toward the man he will become. JIM PARSONS narrates as adult Sheldon. Review: Enjoyable - Another good season, the dvds are good quality and the box is very strong. Sheldon and family give another good performance, also the price was very good too, very affordable. Review: An absolute howl - Was a bit dubious about getting this, as a fan of TBBT I wasn't sure how going back to Sheldon's childhood would work out, I needn't have worried, anyone who enjoyed TBBT will LOVE this, stories are great & the interactions are amazing. Howl with laughter, I did.

Enjoyable
Another good season, the dvds are good quality and the box is very strong. Sheldon and family give another good performance, also the price was very good too, very affordable.

An absolute howl
Was a bit dubious about getting this, as a fan of TBBT I wasn't sure how going back to Sheldon's childhood would work out, I needn't have worried, anyone who enjoyed TBBT will LOVE this, stories are great & the interactions are amazing. Howl with laughter, I did.

As addicted to this show as I was Big Bang Theory, its a brilliant spin-off (that I actually had reservations about before it screened). However, purchasing the DVDs did make me laugh, they are Certified 15 viewing. Considering the main star is just TEN YEARS OLD, there is something rather bemusing about that!!!!

Another series to watch when down
As always, a fantastic series. The little boy who plays young Sheldon is just perfect, he is so sweet and definitely gives an excellent back drop to TBBT. Watch the extras as well, they are adorable.

This series continues to go from strength to strength. The development of each character is great. Personally I think Memaw and Missy are outstanding.

Brilliant and funny
Live this programme so funny I love the big bang theory so thought I'd give this a watch glad I did love it

The DVD was excellent and arrived as expected. The show centers around Sheldon from the "Big Bang Theory" series (a series I've never watched, by the way) when he was a young boy growing up in the 80s. A very highly opinionated, highly intelligent, yet sensitive kid with no clue about social dynamics. They could have put Sheldon in the middle of a "dysfunctional" family and made fun of him - the quick, low road that many of today's writers would take - but instead he is part of a very functional family composed of highly varied personalities that makes for a very fun mix in this exceptionally well-written and funny series. Having enjoyed season 1, I was afraid that the quality must fall off as time went on, but having seen season 2 and 3 now, I'm happy to see that they've maintained the quality and creativity of this show. Kudos to Aiain Armitage for making the unusual character of Young Sheldon so believable.

I didn’t know I was ordering the dvd from England and that it would not work on American DVD players! Why would you sell it here. We had to send it back and order another copy. A lot of time and effort.

I guess it was an over site on my part, but the DVD does not work in the U.S. I now have a DVD that I have to try to return and have to buy another copy because it was a gift. Not pleased at all.
