OUCH - Cut The H*#L out of myself on the assembly/install
I've purchased other deer feeder funnels before and they were a lot nicer than this model because the metal was stronger and you don't have to do any assembly. The other ones also had a little "snout" in the base of the funnel that fit nicely into the hole of the feeder to funnel the corn down towards the spinner motor - this one didn't have that feature. These remind me of those squirrel guards you use to put on your bird feeder poles to keep the squirrels from raiding your bird feeder - so I guess this thing could serve as a dual purpose if you needed it for that. These come flat and you assemble with sheet metal screws. I tore the heck out of one of my fingernails (clear down to the skin) because it got caught on one of the screws when I was lining it up in the deer feeder drum. I was extremely careful handling / installing these because it has lots of sharp edges. One nice feature is you have 2 sets of holes so you can use on a 55 or 30 gallon feeder.

Just buy the plastic one!
It was between this one and the plastic funnel. I figured hell this one is steel let's go with this one. It is not easy to get to fit right. If you dont slide it in perfectly the first time you will damage and bend it up getting it out. Had to literally hammer all the bent parts back once I had it set with screws. Speaking of screws, they pop put the side of the drum. Yeah it's out in the woods itll get beat up,I get that it's not a beauty contest, but those 4 screws sticking out are just ready to stick you when you forget about them, and it looks like crap. Not to mention when you actually transport the barrel to your property. Possibility of damaging the screws are high, and there goes your support for the funnel. Go ahead and not notice, pour your corn in and realize the funnel lost center and dosent line up to your motor. Now scoop out all the corn, run back to town and get more screws for repair. Theres no way you will line up the holes you drilled the first time so drill some more and figure out a way to seal up the previous holes. Ridiculous. Buy the plastic one and save on the frustration

Do not bother with this funnel! The amount of time it takes to correctly size and install IS NOT WORTH IT! It comes as a flat piece of very sharp metal with holes to install screws for proper size. Luckily I wore heavy work gloves, cause they were all cut up when I was done.

Terrible Product
Purchased one of these when building a 55 gallon drum feeder. The unit is extremely difficult to assemble and the mount in a 55 gallon drum. Next feeder I built I purchased the plastic funnel and easy build. Never again would I purchase these type funnels for building feeders.

Not sure of complaints
Takes 5 minutes to put together if you're smart and safe. If you're working with/bending thin sheet metal shouldn't you be careful or wear gloves to prevent injury? I took 5 minutes without gloves to ensure i don't slice myself. If you have gloves or a brain, you should be ok.

Putting one in all my feeders now.
This device is great. No more corn sitting in the bottom of my feeder like before. Only warning is that the edges are sharp. Be careful when fitting it to your feeders that you don't slice your hand or arm on it. I'll stick to trash can feeders now that I won't have 10 pounds of corn sitting in the bottom around the hole all the time.

No screws
Seems to work ok, but did not have the screws. The instructions are on the box, it says screws included - nope. Instructions are vague. Be aware, to attach this to the drum you will need to drill the sides of the barrel and therefore penetrate the barrel. Be sure to seal or pain/prime that area to keep from rusting.
