This is Amazing
It is so easy to prepare, whether for one person or 20 people. There are essentially three steps: measure the mix and an equal amount of water and put in a frying pan. That's it. Comes out fabulous every time. From what I learned about a balance of ingredients for weight control - not dieting - but weight control, these ingredients are a good balance of what is considered healthy. The good news is it's also delicious.

We loved the healthy option of pancake to our buttermilk ones ...
This product was given to me by my friend at first. We loved the healthy option of pancake to our buttermilk ones that we get from Trader Joe's. It's hard to let kids eat protein in the morning, but this product has made that very easy. I sometimes mix the puree of spinach and banana into it so that my 2 and half year old gets all he needs to start the day. It also provides a banana muffin recipe that was a hit for my son.

Our kids gobble these down!
I absolutely love these! My kids love them too! I couldn't get them to eat pancakes until they tried these. They are picky eaters in general. I'm happy that they are a healthier option than traditional pancakes, since they are whole grain and higher in protein. We add an egg and use milk as suggested on the box for added protein and other nutrients. The best part is, my kids call them, "Daddy's special pancakes." The kids claim they taste better than mom's! Score one for Dad...

Easy to prepare, great tasting ...
This mix was recommended in a Facebook group as a great way to get added protein for breakfast without adding too much "bulk" (extra eggs, sausage, etc.). I was skeptical, but I'm now a believer. These are REALLY good. And so easy to prepare! The "basic" recipe is 1 part mix to 1 part water (i.e., 1 C mix + 1 C water to make six 4" pancakes). I used 1/2 C mix and 1/2 C water, mixed it up, and then added 2/3 C of mixed frozen berries (raspberries, blueberries, and strawberries), which made 3 decent sized pancakes. A tiny bit of butter (about 1 tsp total for all three), and we're talking heaven on a plate. A splash of maple syrup wouldn't be out of line here, either.I like this enough to use it probably once every week or so. It IS pricey, however. The convenience is great (delivered right to my door), but not sure it's worth the added cost.Bottom line: tasty way to get additional protein in the morning; need to weigh the economical aspects.Oct 5, 2015: ETA photo -- this is one serving made as described above: 1/2 C mix, 1/2 C water, 2/3 C frozen mixed berries = 3 decent sized pancakes. I use a 1/3 C "scoop" to get them on the griddle, and it makes exactly 3 pancakes.

Great Product! Delicious & Nutritious
I purchased the 20 ounce [protein packed] Kodiak Cakes a few weeks ago for $9.38. I'm a "pancake connoisseur" and liked getting cakes that are high protein [includes wheat protein isolate, whey protein concentrate, milk protein isolate, egg whites]. 100% whole wheat and oat flour. No preservatives or food color. Non-GMO. The pancakes are delicious & nutritious. I was going to order a couple of more boxes of Kodiak Cakes today and found the price to be $16.77. This is almost double the price I paid a few weeks ago. I will not order Kodiak Cakes again. Target sells same item for $4.99.

Terrific but way overpriced here!
This mix makes delicious pancakes that have a perfect texture. Terrific with a little pure maple syrup. One time I added cinnamon and vanilla extract and they were terrific that way too. But they're just as delicious plain. Next I'm going to try this mix in my Belgian waffle iron. I love that they are healthy from the whole grain and protein, and they keep me full for hours. I especially love that I understand what every single ingredient is! The only reason I gave 3 stars instead of 5 is because this mix only costs $4.99 at Target, which is much cheaper than on Amazon. Next time I'm at Target, I will stock up on a few boxes now that I know I love them so much.FYI for those with food allergies...the label states that this mix contains wheat, milk and eggs, and may contain traces of soy, peanuts and tree nuts. I wish my peanut and tree nut allergic son could eat this but unfortunately in the world of food allergies, it doesn't always work out that way.

So good!
I LOVE this pancake mix! Definitely always add an egg. I wasn't loving how flat and dense they were at first but after googling I saw this tip from many people and it makes a huge difference. It makes them much fluffier and more like a traditional pancake. I do a little over a cup of mix, a little less than a cup of water, plus an egg. They're great! I do buy it at Target now that I know they sell it there though, it's one of the few things cheaper in the store than on amazon.

Good waffle mix
I made these with milk and eggs and then ran the batter through my black and Decker waffle maker. The waffles were tasty and didn't taste much different than Bisquick or have a different texture from any of the flavored waffle mixes we'd bought. Being high in fiber and protein I kind of expected a gritty texture or chalky taste and I was pleasantly surprised that we just got waffles. They might have been a tiny bit chewier than other mixes, but not much. My wife the picky eater liked them. I haven't tried to freeze them like other brands there weren't any leftover to freeze.
