Base Coat & Top Coat

I’ve tried many gel top coats and base coats, but this one really stands out. The formula is incredibly smooth, dries quickly under a LED lamp, and gives a professional, glossy finish that lasts for weeks without chipping. What really differentiates this product from other gel polishes I’ve used is how versatile it is. You can use it at home or in a salon setting, and it works equally well over clear or colored resin polish. This nail polish is wonderful! The color is vibrant and exactly as pictured, and it goes on smoothly without streaks. It dries relatively quickly and lasts for days without chipping. The brush makes application easy and precise, and the finish looks professional.

I haven't used the matte top coat yet, but I have used the base coat & topcoat. Mixed with the Modelones nail primer & nail prep dehydrator, my color has adhered wonderfully & has stayed looking great! Little backstory: I'm the girl who has NEVER been able to make polish look even remotely professional! If I polished my own nails, it looked like my 9 year old did it. Which, to be honest, my 9 year old probably knows more about nail care than me! I could probably count on one hand the amount of times that I've actually removed overgrown cuticles myself verses going to the salon. I've probably only ever touched a nail file maybe 20 times in my life & THAT was simply to file a sharp snag from a break or crack in the tip of my nail! Most of my polishes, files & clippers were either over 10 years old or belong to my daughter! However, thanks to COVID, paying for the convenience of a nail salon isn't the easiest thing to accomplish in Michigan at the moment. If the salon isn't all the way closed, you need an appointment to he seen. Of which, you can't really get anytime before April 😔. So I decided it was time for me to give it a go myself! 👀... I mean... I trim my animals nails all the time! My kiddos nails too! And never ONCE did either the tiny humans OR the animals need emergency services afterwards! So there's THAT! My Pinterest projects always seem to come out great even though I swear I don't have a creative bone in my body! There's THAT too! If I can do crafty things & trim nails without causing blood lost or the need for emergency medical care...than doing my own nails shouldn't be THAT difficult right?! 😬 I spent weeekkkks researching brands, nail tools, supplies and anything else that would be needed. Literally. Weeks. FINALLY I decided on what I would need to order for my newly acquired at home nail salon! I ordered gel kits, nail dipping kits, polygel kits, nail tips & nail forms, glue on nails, a UV/LED light lamp & essentially... EVERY. SINGLE. nail tool known to man! I'm still not sure what most of them are for! In fact, I have NO IDEA what 1/2 of this stuff is! 😂 Soooooo obviously, this was my first time applying my own gels at home... It actually wasn't too bad! Certainly not the nightmare I had imagined!! with that said, I'm on day 6 of application & there are a few (very few...maybe 2-4 small areas) bumps. Just tonight (again, day 6) I noticed 3 tiny (so tiny almost naked to the eye) chips at the tips of my nails & most likely, it's because they weren't capped well enough. The step by step directions included in this kit made it VERY user friendly & SUPER simple for a clueless beginner as myself! I plan on ordering this product again and again and again!!

For some reason, I was skeptical about these when I first saw them. It was my first time doing gel by myself and I didn’t know a lot about what type of polish to get, curing lamps, etc. So one day after reading over reviews and internet searching, I just decided to be risky and buy these as well as a curing lamp. I was really impressed by the polishes! They say the base coat will remain kind of wet/sticky after curing and to ignore that and continue with the color polish, which I did and found no problems. The top coat is nice and I didn’t find any problems with it. However, both are very drippy, so you need to wipe excess off the brush on the lip of the bottle so you don’t flood your cuticles. If you do, it will harden on your skin. Your skin is flexible and doesn’t stick to the hardened gel, but the part that flooded over your cuticles will become a nice little tab to pry up all your polish. I also tried to use normal polish underneath the top coat. It didn’t work too well (probably because the nail polish was still wet, even though it seemed dry, and before I had success with it but then doing it again failed.) which I had been warned about on the internet. The only issue I had was removing it. I guess that’s a good thing, my first try with this lasted a week (except for the tips kind of wearing off) and could’ve done more but I wanted to do something else. Using the base, gel color (that I already had) and top coat made it REALLY hard to get off with 99% acetone. All in all, I highly suggest getting this product. You just need to get a little used to it but overall is pretty easy to use.

these arent like the best nail polish you can get but they lasted me long enough and theyre ok in a pinch and pretty good as something to get you more comfortable and confident working with the product before you really spend a lot on good products i used it to practice chrome and while it chipped and peeled like cray it did help me learn .

I've been using gel polish for years and never had a no-wipe top coat. Finally decided to get this set and I'm very glad I did! It does exactly what it is supposed to do - the base coat does seem to be tacky after normal cure time, but it works just perfectly. The top coat finish is just as shiny as the wipe kind. The only difference I've noticed is that when I swipe my nails against certain surfaces.. it feels a bit sticky. It isn't wet at all, just a slight tugging feeling when my nails brush over certain surfaces. Weird but not a big deal. I still find these easy to peel off with no damage after a few weeks when I need to re paint my nails. As you can see in my photos I went over 2 weeks between my first time using this set and when I swapped my polish and it was in pretty good shape. I also wash my hands excessively so I'm impressed with how long they lasted. Definitely buy these, they are great! They came in a cute little box too.

I have not had a chance to use the base coat on my nails but did test it on a surface to see if it had the (right feel). It does have just enough tacky to let you know you will get good adhesion with your gel polish. The top coat is thick but not too thick. Easy to spread even and sort of self levels to smooth. It really cures to a high gloss shine. I am using it to delay having to completely do a full fill and Gel polish on my nails for now. The feel and finish is as good as a salon product. If I go back to the salon I will try and pay more attention and see if they are using this product as well. They have so many different items it is hard to keep track. But I would guess some salons would use G&E for the value and ease of use. I will be sure and recommend this to my daughter who also does her own nails. I bought this set for the price but really think it is high end. I also like that is comes in a box together and not just wrapped in bubble wrap and separate from each other. Easy to store in the little black plastic holder tray that comes inside the box. Nice touch.
