Delicious and smooth
I really enjoy using this product. I have a chocolate cake recipe from my beloved mother-in-law. For years I used another popular product readily available in the grocery store. This product was recommended on a PBS cooking show so I ordered from Amazon. I read some of the reviews that complained about the cost and the packaging. It is twice as expensive as what's in the grocery store and imo worth it. Yes, the old-style packaging is annoying, and a non-issue for me. The quality of the chocolate is so much better and why not spend a little more and get a product that improves the recipe you are using. I used this chocolate in my mil's cake recipe for a wake and received many compliments. I was specifically asked about the chocolate and process I used to make the batter by my circle of women friends they enjoyed it so much. My son's are also excellent home cooks/bakers and I like to share good products with them. Over the holidays, I gifted each a box of this chocolate and a copy of my mil's handwritten recipe with my hand written adjustments included. About the Droste effect on the packaging, someone had a sense of humor when they designed the packaging.

Best cocoa powder I have ever used for baking and frosting
After agonizing over recipes for a great chocolate cake and frosting not as heavy as a buttercream, I decided to go for "Dutch Process" cocoa powder as opposed to "natural" and I am very glad I did. I bought Droste based on many other reviews I'd read from a range of recipe sources. It is quite rich - melts on your fingertips. The Dutch Process reduced the acidity nicely. It worked extremely well for both a dark chocolate cake and the ganache frosting I made. The frosting came out so well I used the leftovers to create some easy "truffles" - this cocoa powder also works well as the chocolate dusting for those, too! The nicest part is, I didn't have to spend a fortune for it.

I like Droste
I like Droste. they make these wafers half milk and half dark i think are great. this cocoa powder is great because it is not sweetened, and so i make it as hot chocolate with NO sugar, or some times with Allulose, or i can mix Allulose in a paste and eat it in place of a chocolate bar
