I just had to put my little Chin Lee down because of cancer. I will help me decide about weather to get another or go with some other dog. They are so precious and such a pleasure that some people fall in love with them even when they di not think they will. My sister and her partner fell in love with my shih Tzu even when they do not like fluffy small dogs. I have also found that the books telling about specific dogs gives the owners special insight into the special animal they have. I know that our special little friends will tell you thank you for helping their special people to know more about them.

We're getting a Shih Tzu pup soon and my son reads this books every day in order to learn whats coming ahead. Overall great info book.

This book was very simple and to the point, but not what I was looking for. I wanted a more complete guide for the Shih Tzu, but I think this would be good for somebody who is starting from scratch and doesn't know where to begin. I did like that it was on the Kindle, which means I can download it right away!

If you are new to the Shih Tzu hreed this might be a good book for you. I'm finding that I need to start grooming my 12 year old Shih Tsu myself and was looking for info on how to clip a shih tzu. There IS a chapter on grooming but when it comes to clipping all it does is list and explain the items you will need. It was a waste of my money

I love the pictures and I love a lot of what is written. But i feel too much is written for those that are wanting to show dogs. I don't. i want a family dog. The book is divided well and the topics it covers are very good, but sometimes I feel as if I wanted to understand more and read more but it was over. It seems to cover everything but not going into extensive details. But it is definitely a book to get over all the others here, it seems to cover the most. I learned many things and I will definitely use most of the information in the book. When it came to describing commands, I would have liked to have pictures of a person giving a command. That would have been more helpful than describing how to do the commands.

I got an older Shih Tuz we are learning . She needed alot of things done, had some issues , but she a joy and so sweet, cuddle bug, We are getting done . Learning some things , Reading and listening. Say prayers we give her best.

There were a few highlights that I did not know regarding food choices, confirmed leaving the crate my the bed, but not a book I was impressed with at all- I highly recommend all Shih Tzu where three is a website that you can refer to and updates.

I adopted an 11 year old female from a friend and wanted to know as much as I could about taking care of her in her remaining years. This book was wonderful and packed with all information from grooming , feeding, health care and much more. I highly recommend it !!

This book is a brilliant read for anybody buying a Shih Tzu for the first time. I have just bought my second Shih Tzu after looseing my first aged 12. I wish I had read this book before then.

Absolutely loved this book. Waiting to collect my first ever puppy, so have been quite anxious but this has helped a lot with preparation and the future ❤😊🐶
