The insect net is well constructed and very easy the assemble. My ten years old did it without difficulty. The handle is the longest that I could find on Amazon. Both handle and ring are made of light-weight and durable materials perfect for long time outdoor insect collecting activities. The nylon net itself is light, soft, with a wide opening of 16" ring size, especially suitable for catching fragile flying insects, such as butterflies, moths, and dragonflies, while minimizing the risk of damaging the specimens.The insect net sports a 36" net depth, more than twice as long as the diameter of its ring, a feature that any professional insect collector can value for it efficiently prevent caught insects from escaping.Moreover, the price tag is reasonable for such a well designed and high-quality tool.

We just it to catch bugs to feed or chickens. It works well. Large net with long handle.

We are Monarch Butterfly taggers and tag about 100 butterflies each Autumn. We have owned three of these nets. They are a nice size and the telescoping handle makes it nice to store when not in use and keep in our tagging bin for the car.They have a nice long tail and wide opening so you don't hurt your catch which is good but for a serious catcher they start to wear out after a season or two. The screw piece that holds the telescoping handle wears out, and on two the handles, which are glued on come off.This would be a good not for someone just getting into tagging or a child looking to catch and release.

The structure of the net is very well thought out .It is telescopic and the net it self will fold as there is a joint in the aluminum,this makes transporting it very easy in a pack.. The material that the net is composed of is a type of solid white cotton and is very durable . This makes it ideal for catching large bugs , butterflies ,frogs , ect and running thru a field drawing thru it to see what’s happening..The only draw back would be for small butterflies as it is hard to see them thru the material. For this I would recommend one of their smaller ring diameter nets as they are see thru and of similar Quality construction but with a lite weight see thru net . I have both ...and recommended them as I use them often .

Complete junk. Broke within 2 minutes. Not abused either.

It’s great for catching my own team flighted Birds, But I already broke it and it’s super cheap. I’d save up for a better net next time, but this is good for now.

This worked perfectly for what we had intended. We had about a dozen hummingbirds in our shop that wouldn’t fly out. We bought this net to get them and set them free. It worked nice and didn’t hurt the hummingbirds.

This is the perfect net for what we needed it for! In our flock of 5 chickens, we have two new bantams (miniature) hens, one of which does not like to come in for the night. After double-teaming her, chasing her all around the chicken pen, with her getting more and more scared and freaked out, it finally dawned on me that a net could help the situation. I first tried our pool net, which worked well, but the shape wasn’t ideal. After reading a ton of reviews of nets, I chose this one, and it’s perfect. It has a very solid handle and long net - in fact, I’ve tied a knot in the end of the net, as it was cumbersome.Now our girl knows the routine - I come out to put them away and she goes right into the open coop, I gently place the net over her, pull her toward me, and pick her up. No more horrible squawking! (In case this is confusing, I have to bring both of the bantams inside to spend the night in a large dog crate, as they are still learning to get along with the bigger girls.)
