This book reminds me of a book I needed to read when I was pregnant. The what do you expect when you’re expecting book is just like this I love this book.

I adopted a pug almost a year ago, my first dog. I found myself panicking almost as soon as I brought him home like a new parent with an infant looking for the instruction manual - what does it mean when he barks like that? How do I trim his nails? How much exercise does he need? Food? Is it normal that he snores so loud? Well this *is* the instruction manual!I read some reviews and promptly ordered this book and I'm so glad I did. It covers everything I want to know about my dog and some things I didn't even know I needed to know. My guy was 5 years old when I got him (rescue pug) and well trained so I haven't used much of the new puppy info in this book but it will definitely cover you from new puppy to senior dog. It explains so much about pug behavior, special medical needs, grooming, feeding, etc. It's the pug bible.

Great book! Very practical information about what pugs need as far as bathing, skin fold wiping (beware of swamp face), and other general pug hygiene. Very practical training tips, such as belly rubbing to assure your pug that you are dominant (as well as providing a delightful belly rub) and choosing useful words for training, such as "off" instead of "no jumping," so that that your pug can be praised with the same word, for example, "Good Off," which then serves as a built-in reward (and doesn't exhaust the word "No"). Interesting and funny information on pug personalities. What's not to love about a pug?

This is a fantastic book! I had bought a few others, and they don't compare to this one. Very informative. I read it before I picked up my pug puppy, so it's been a great resource.

I like the way this book is divided. Very easy to read in a few sittings and bookmark for reference.

Book was very helpful. Not only did it provide guidance on training a pug, it also provided great tips on selecting the proper pug. I would strongly recommend this book if you have or are looking at getting a pug.

After getting and reading the book, decided to get a Bichon instead. Glad we did. Pugs can be a pain.

Great book, very informative and answers even the simplest questions. A must read.

Really interesting book that is written in easy to read chapters. Well organised and laid out with clear sections. Slightly American but the general concepts apply and given some good starting points when considering a pug so I can do further research.

Good book.. its a book. It got everything a book needs. Pages, a cover, and even usable content. My pug loved it too. Chew the heck out if it.. happy dog.. happy owner
