Good air.
Sounds normal when cruising around or on the highway, but when you get on it you can hear the air box kicking in and the volume goes up. Not alot but you will hear it even with the stereo on. Easy install. Took more time to take the old stuff out than putting the new box in. 2017 GMC Sierra SLT 6.2lt.

Highly Recommend! Worth every dollar!
Installed this on my 2018 Silverado. It was a quick and easy install. My baby breathes so much better and sounds AMAZING at higher rpm's! Looks and performs just as described. Highly recommend!

Quality fit and Finish.
Bought it for my husbands 2014 Silverado High Country 6.2. He installed it in about 20 min and reused the two engine side quick disconnects off the oem intake. The plug is installed on top of the box for now. Looks cool better then the stock one! Great bargain too! (100 bucks off retail price) someone sent it back for some reason? Win for us! Heâll do a data log file with the Autocal and send it to Blackbear Performance to see if the tune needs to be adjusted or not?

Not worth the money missing to many parts
Cost to much to not have everything needed to swap air filter You will have to modify and buy either oil catcher tube or figure out a way to replace oil tubes for the money it should be a bolt on with no issues or modifications needed

Quick Delivery, Simple Install, Great Sound
Filter came quick. Install was pretty intuitive, but itâs good to know that the stock airbox attaches in three locations that pop in. Give the box a good pull and itâll come out. The system sounds great. Much throatier than stock

Now this is what my 6.2 liter is susposed to sound like!!!..
This intake was easy to install and it gave my somewhat sluggish 2014 silverado 6.2 liter a more aggressive engine note under hard acceleration... It's more responsive when you get on the gas pedal... Very pleased with the product... My only complaint is that you would have to take it half way off to access the filter in order to clean it... Aside from that its a great addition to my truck...

great seller
Solid product. Easy install. Only thing I did not like was it did not come with hose clamps to install the hoses. Fast delivery and the seller was quick to reply with questions. A+

Definitely recommend this CAI
The fit and design are excellent. The sound is great when you get on it. I had installed a K/N but the filter is right in the engine bay. I have a tuner that I can see Intake air temp and it was way to high with the K/N also engine would ping on excel. Returned and bought this one. Much lower air temp because the design is made to get cooler air from inside fender well like the factory one.

So I've owned this product for almost a year now and figured it was time to write up a review. After doing a pile of research on available intakes for my 2018 Sierra, I decided on the AFE brand. I've always been a K&N guy, but I really like the sealed design and look of the AFE. I opted for the oiled version as it just seemed like it would be more efficient. Installation was very straightforward and took about 45 minutes and didn't require any special tools. That was taking my time and making sure everything was smooth. It's not a difficult install at all. The worst part had to be the removal of my stock stuff as I wasn't sure how exactly it was held in there. Once installation was complete, I was happy to see how clean everything looked. I started up the truck to see how it all went. There was a slight sound difference, but nothing like what some people seem to have pointed out. I took it for a test drive and opened it up. With more throttle, there was again a bit of a difference in sound, but nothing crazy. I was actually hoping for the "growl" people reported, but sadly, didn't hear it. The only thing I did hear, was an odd rattle. I had read on some forums that the air-box was a very tight fit and would rub against the firewall. That was the issue in my case. I decided to fix it by simply inserting a square piece of rigid foam between the box and the firewall. Problem solved! No more rattle. As far as performance goes, I haven't seen anything noticeable. My gas mileage didn't change and I didn't see any increase in horsepower during normal driving or while towing. Overall, I'm not entirely sure this even made a difference. Either way, I know it is an improvement over the restrictive stock setup, however, the cost may not justify the gains. It does look cool though! I still really like it and don't regret buying it at all. I've had no issues even during the cold winter months. I haven't had to clean and oil it yet so we'll see how much of a chore that is. I do like the inspection window, however, it's still pretty difficult to get a good look to see exactly how dirty the filter is. You are still better off opening up to inspect. Overall, I think this was a solid buy and I would recommend it over the K&N for the simple fact that it's a more sealed unit that still breathes better than the OEM system. Pros: -Easy install -Good looks -Slight growl Cons: -had to fix rattle against firewall -inspection window not clear enough to get a good picture of filter condition -opening it up take tools
