They work. Just soak in hot water for a min to make them pliable before using it and it wont break. Good enough for most beginners i think.

I really appreciate the nice container and the bamboo is well made. It does a great job of whisking matcha.

I love this product! Up until I received it I was actually trying to whisk my green tea in hot water using a fork. Naturally I had lumpy tea that wasn't too appetizing. What a difference this makes! A little bit of Do Matcha in a bowl using the included spoon, with a little hot water, and voila, perfect tea every time. I'm glad I opted for the set with the spoon because I was using a teaspoon before. Using the spoon kind of makes the experience complete. I'm not sure what people are saying in some reviews, talking about the whisk will no longer fit in the container? It's flexible bamboo. I rinse it off after use, allow it to dry completely, and it fits perfectly back in the container. I don't use the cover because I'm worried that bacteria might form (maybe?) but it fits back on the container perfectly if I did want to use it. I use this bamboo whisk and spoon every day and it's just great. Highly recommended!

Overall a very high quality set. The Chasen is smooth, makes the Matcha infinitely better. My only complaint is that I dropped the wooden scoop on the counter top the first day and chip of wood came out the front, now the tea gets stuck in that chip. It was my own fault so can't really blame the product but still frustrating it chipped from such a small fall, oh well. Overall I highly recommend this Chasen though.

Great product

New to the matcha world I figured that I didn't need any "apparatus" to stir something. I was dead wrong. If you don't want chalky lumps in your matcha tea you actually do need this. I selected this particular product because it included spoons. I was hoping that the matcha would not stick to the bamboo like it did the plastic measuring teaspoon but it sticks just the same. I've gone back to the plastic measuring spoon for the sake of consistency--I'm sure I'll find good use for the spoons though, their quality is good.

great for my Matcha Green tea! This is exactly what I was wanting. One of the spoons was damaged and when I reached out to the seller and sent them a photo of it, it was immediately replaced. Awesome customer service. Regarding the mold, I haven't had any issues with it. I let it air out and don't put it in the enclosed container that came with it. There are not instructions but if you don't know how to use it, you can search the internet and there are plenty of tutorials on how to use this nifty whisk :)
