Portable Percussion that doubles as a seat.
I perform in nursing and assisted living home. It is not practical to bring along a drum kit, so this is a perfect way to supplement the guitar and vocals with some percussion. It is a light-weight and portable taking up a small space in the back of my vehicle. The volume and tone controls are easily accessible as well as the in put and output jacks. Priced very reasonably, and it looks nice.

Good play
Good sound, I play it every Sunday morning. It did have a damaged corner from the carriers' ruff handling, but not so much that it affects the sound quality.

Great cajon
The pick ups sound good. I don’t have anything to compare with pick ups, but def better than a mic. There is a time knob that allows dialing in the low/high tone balance out of the amp. Forward facing ports are not as loud as the bottom ported Cajon, however.

NFG unless plugged on. Worst cajon acoustics
Do not buy if you want good cajon sound.

This product is inferior for the pricing.
In considering this item for purchase, I reviewed several brands and pricing levels. This model was selected because it was thought to be of an acceptable quality and tonal performance. It was not, hence the return.

The Meinl PSUBCAJ6B "Flat Out Rocks"!! 5 Stars...........
If you are searching for a bass and snare cajon that sounds like you are playing a full drum set look no further than this one. Could not be more happy with the sound that comes out of this. I second what Ryan above says. This is the best sounding cajon period and well worth the extra 100 bucks over the other models. Buy it you will not regret it, and if if you connect it to a PA speaker you can really keep up with a guitar, bass, and keyboard player!!

Love it!
Lightweight yet sturdy. Love the ability to connect directly to the sound board. Does not get as deep and warm of a bass thump as some other canons but the pickup totally makes up for it.

Nice product while it worked, but the pickup stopped working after using it at just 4 gigs, had to return it for a refund
