Great Quality Product!!
Fits/works perfect in my 1999 BMW M3. Got rid of the previous owners K and N air filter, and my fuel trim levels are stellar! LTFT 0- 0.8. Around 2.3 consistently with old filter if that info is of any use to another. Back to the flow that the factory intended!! Will buy again when time, very satisfied, great quality filter. Snug fit! I'm quite confident in this filters ability......

When you consider the Mahle quality and Amazon Prime FAST shipping ( I ordered this very late Friday night and it came in early Sunday afternoon) you just can't beat this deal. This went into our E39 530i in the parking lot immediately after leaving the Amazon Locker store area, as BMW made this such a simple, drop-in item on these cars. DONE. I really believe in Mahle quality as it's the brand of preference for our car. Would I buy it again from Amazon? YES!

I guess it is supposed to catch the big dirt that finds its way up there before clogging the finer paper filter
picture is not fully representative, this filter has a white thick flat layer (3/8" - 1/2") of fiberglass coarse filter laying on top. I guess it is supposed to catch the big dirt that finds its way up there before clogging the finer paper filter. Had the same filter last year and I replaced it after more than 8,000 miles, did not see any performance issues

My filter is on the left, replacement filter on the right is advertised as a perfect fit for the 2009 BMW X3. It is not even close. However I was able to return it with no hassles
