Being a working dad and busy all the time, it's really hard to exercise; I needed to make it as convenient as possible to exercise so I could still make it happen. This was the perfect mat to fit across the end of my office under my movie screen. Now I can go and stretch or do exercises whenever I need a short break, and my baby can crawl on it while I work too. My older son sometimes likes to lie next to me on the mat and pretend he is doing exercises too! My office is in the basement, and one of the walls is stone, so small amounts of the debris are always falling off, and over time it builds up on the floor. This mat folds up easily so you can set it to the side and clean the room, then put it back down again. But I've also always had trouble with yoga mats and the like, which are only half as long as a normal human body (when exercising, you can't measure head to toe, but even assuming you lie perfectly still with your arms at your sides in a coffin position to do all your exercises, almost all yoga mats I've seen STILL can't even fit a normal sized person, not to mention a taller person). This mat is perfect size though: even stretched out as far as I can with my body, I still have a foot or so of leeway on either end so I'm not sliding off. And it has ample width for most exercises and stretches too. It's also not too big though, and shouldn't have much trouble fitting across one end of a normal-sized office or bedroom. I'm really glad I bought this, and I wish I had done it sooner in life, because I probably could have been a bit healthier!

Purchased this for my grandchildren. My daughter said, "I hope your wrote a good review. This mat is great." Their large dog with long nails has yet to puncture the material. It is large, but very lightweight. They move it from living room to deck with ease. Folds make it many different sizes. I thought it was slightly expensive, but daughter says it was worth every cent.

Padding is perfect for laying prone and doing back and stretching excercises. Wide size allows one to roll over and still have padding to help when getting back up. I do not walk on it with shoes on or do excercises on it, so it is durable enough for me.

My buddy and I got these so that we could practice BJJ on our own, and they are fantastic! The size and thickness are great for rolling. The only thing we've been a little nervous about is the size of the cracks between them, but so far no issues at all. The price is right!

It is a good mat for higher impact activities like plyometrics, martial arts, and probably even some gymnastics moves. For yoga, it is good for some types of moves (like frog, camel, etc.) and not great for others (mostly balance moves because you can sink down into it a bit which can throw your balance off). Basically, any yoga move in which it is helpful to pad your knees or shoulders is wonderful. Any moves that require you to be on one leg for an extended period of time, it may cause you to lose your balance too much. For people who do the Team Beachbody workouts, it is great for most of the workouts in P90X, all of the Insanity workouts, and any of the other workouts that require you to jump around. The only drawback I have noticed is that the seams will start to split open after a while. Nothing so bad that a strip of duct tape does not cure it, but given that it is not an inexpensive mat that could be a deal-breaker.

My little girl is always tumbling about the house. We got her this matt and she uses it daily! Her brother also likes to use it. Keeps them from getting hurt and they even like to use it to build forts with blankets all the time. Priced very fair, perfect thickness and size.. might order a 2nd one to have one in 2 different rooms, but I know they will just have even more fun with building a huge fort! The velcro works almost too good... it will stick to a rug like glue! ours gets abused all the time and still is in perfect condition!

Terrific mat. It’s a good length 4‘ x 10‘. It is a good sturdy mat it’s very firm when you’re trying to learn gymnastics skills. It is not very heavy I can move it from one place to another and I’m not a very big person. I’m only 5 feet tall. The bottom of the mat has Velcro so it will stick to carpeting. And it will also help it not to slide on grass if you’re using it outdoors. Also on both ends of the Matt it also has Velcro so you can stick multiple mats together to make it a longer Matt.
