Philips Hair Clippers, Series 5000 Trim-n-Flow PRO Technology Hair Clipper, Fully Washable with Self-Sharpening Stainless Steel Blades, Corded, UK 3-Pin Plug - HC5630/13

I bought this Philips 5000 series hair trimmer as a spare / replacement for another philips self trimmer that had a rotation head that made it easy to trim hair at the back. Settled on the 5000 at a good price on Amazon it's well built and charges up very quick say 30 mins to full charge. It's very comfortable to hold and if you self trim your hair like I do it's very easy to use and does a tidy job. I set it on 13mm for the sides and back & 15mm for the top crew cut style the dial is simple to set the required gauge you want and believe me it does not move when in use it's great. I find holding the trimmer in the normal upright position is best for sides and the top of the head and for the back just hold it upside down with blades facing away from you and trim the back, it works like a dream can recommend this trimmer it's brilliant for guys or gals that trim your own hair.

The Philips Series 5000 Trim-n-Flow PRO hair clippers are the best clippers I’ve bought. They cut through hair very easily, and the adjustable length mechanism is simple and convenient to use. Overall, they feel well designed and perform exactly as you’d want — I’d happily buy them again. My only real complaint is the charging port. It uses a proprietary charger rather than USB-C, which feels outdated in 2026. Aside from that annoyance, they’re excellent clippers.

This hair clip is excellent and effectively fulfills its purpose. I particularly appreciate the variety of setting options available.

Bought Philips again as the last one I had was really good, battery had finally given up holding charge. Very pleased with the new pair , plenty of adjustment for hair and beard trimming. Lighter than last model and easy to use. Combs are secure when cutting so no accidental bald patches, which is obviously important. Warning light when battery get low which previous didn't have.

A great replacement for a set of Phillips clippers that are well worn and past their best. They only go down to 2 mm depth, so I’ve used the cutter guard from my old set to allow me to get down to the 1 mm that I would normally use. They seem to run faster and more effectively than my older model. It is slightly lighter, and therefore easier to use with no discernible lack of quality.

With the millimetres precision that this product allows, and the long battery life, this is probably the best hair clipper set I've ever used. Sure there isn't an abundance of attachments, but it's a clipper set that does what it's designed for exceedingly well, the blades are sharp, the parts are robust and well made, and all things considered, I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

I have been shaving my head since 1990. My first shaver was cordless and required a stand to charge, annoying when it runs out mid-cut! My second was a philishave rechargeable and was excellent, close cut, long battery life and I loved it. Third time around, I purchased two philishave clippers for when one needs charging, they lasted 15 years, though the batteries in them lasted around 5-7 years. I found these occasionally snagged and weren't strong enough to cut my hair when it got a little longer, even when they were new. When I decided to replace my last ones, I was uncertain which to go for and decided to stick with philishave. I cannot recommend these enough! In my experience, these clippers are superior and well worthy of your purchase, especially if you regularly cut or trim your hair. They literally glide smoothly over your head, never snag when cutting. Again I bought two of these and I've used them both around 10 times each so far without needing a recharge. If I were to make a complaint, it would be the size and design. I wish they were smaller and designed for first person usage, not third person as they are. They are not designed to cut your own hair but someone elses, I've always cut my own. That said, it's not a hindrance in any way, just would be nicer if they could think more about usage. Excellent product, will be buying philishave next time around too if they're this good!
