50s Dress Women Vintage Cocktail Halter Dress 1950s Rockabilly Homecoming Dress

Ok ladies,Here are some pointers for this dress:1) the dress is indeed a very thin silk material but I can wear my black lacey bra and it will not show. This material is pretty resilient so don't worry about tearing. However, I am going to hand wash this lovely dress because of how fragile the material feels.2) This dress is remarkably COMFORTABLE!! Even though is felt kinda tight (I am 5ft 4in, 42 DD, round tummy, 225 pounds, and the tightest it was landed in the breast area and highest on my waist. I ordered a 2x and the 3x will definitely be too big. I'm just busty cursed which is why this dress felt tight.) This dress was definitely not uncomfortably tight. When I first put it on, I was SUPER afraid it would tear because it feels so thin and dainty but they used some nice silk making this dress because after you sit down, you definitely realize that this is NOT a problem at all in this dress.3) How to put it on: this is going to sound silly but lace the back as loose as possible, then don't unzip it. Put it on over your head braless. Once it's around your waist, put your bra on, and then pull the dress up over your breasts. Then, to take it off, simply unzip. It's quick, easy, and effortless. I can put this dress on in less then a minute even with it feeling tight.So that's all I have ladies. I love the ribbon, the color, the feel and the sash, plus I'm trying to shed like 20 pounds anyways. But I love this dress.

Sooo cute! I'm 6 months pregnant with dreams of doing rockabilly pin-up modeling post partum. Decided to start early and do maternity photos in this dress. LOVE this dress! Will use a lace skirt underneath and pose with a vintage car and umbrella at my shoot in July. I'm 36C and 135lbs (120lbs pre-pregnancy) and ordered a medium. Fits perfect!

I would've given 5 stars if both dresses I ordered were made the same. I LOVED the polka dot dress I bought so much that I ordered the cherry dress, too. The polka dot dress is sturdy, solid material with a little stretch to it. I measure 94x74x104, 34D, so according to the size chart I am (barely) a size medium. I had to exchange for a small, since the medium felt a bit big. The elastic panel bunched up & stuck out in the back. The small fit like a stretchy, comfy, beautifullllll glove! No bra needed, since material is so sturdy! :-) I ordered a 2nd dress in the cherry style size small, assuming it would be the same as the polka dot dress. It is beautiful, but disappointed its not the same quality material as the polka dot dress. It has a stretchy back panel, but the rest of the dress is not stretchy & the seams feel like they will rip. It is silky & clingy & feels like a nightgown. I would probably need a medium in the cherry dress if I decide to keep it... as lingerie, lol.

I ordered two of these dresses (black with skulls and white with cherries) a few weeks ago and loved them. They were made of a satin-like material, which was not what I was expecting, but they fit great and looked lovely, so I had no complaints. I ordered two more (navy with white dots and black with red dots) and they just arrived. They're made of a cotton material, which is closer to what I was expecting with my first order, they fit exactly like the first two, and they look fantastic! I'm happy with all my dresses, but if you're looking for all of these to be the same fabric you might be upset. I am a size 20 US and I ordered size 3X. I am also wearing a petticoat in my picture, I highly recommend investing in a good petticoat to give these dresses some fluff!

Purchased XS for 5’3”, 90-lb. teenager, and it fits perfectly with just a little extra room.We have several dresses from this company but this one has to be my favorite. It’s so flowy and soft, and offers coverage while being breathable enough during hot summer days! The “floof” underneath is also from this company and adds that extra structure, though it’s not necessary. The dress can be worn alone and still look beautiful!There’s nothing we don’t love so here are the highlights:- Silky fabric both on the dress and the ribbon, but not so soft the ribbon doesn’t stay tied.- Impeccable stitching! Everything is sewn perfectly and holds extremely well. I have no concerns about the tabs coming loose or the zipper losing integrity. And for once, there was not a single loose thread right out of the package.- Zipper IS concealed, unlike several other dresses we’ve bought, which eventually open up or loosen.- Color is gorgeous! Bright, even, and doesn’t run when cleaned.- Fit is perfect for her frame. There’s a tad extra room, so it could possibly work for someone up to 110 lbs at her height. The neck tie allows for nearly any bust size to be accommodated, which is awesome! 😁For price and quality these dresses amaze me. Definitely a recommended purchase!*As a side-note, similar dresses we’ve found locally are priced between $75-$150, and not worth it in my opinion. 😉

I ordered the 3x. I am 5'7 and a 22/24 depending on the cut and brand. I am also on the smaller chested side wearing a 42b. When I ordered the dress I looked through the reviews to sort of figure out what size to buy. I got it on prime so it was here in 2 days. It fits snug where I feel it should and hides my problem areas very well while actually giving me curves and a very retro feminine look. I wore the dress out to karaoke night at my local bar and just about every woman there complimented the dress. I did buy a petticoat to wear under the dress as well as a strapless/backless bra. I love this dress and will definitely be buying more of this style in the future because it makes me feel very pretty and that's a very hard thing to do being a girl of my size and body shape. I strongly recommend this dress.

I love that the dress is very fresh and silky smooth! And I'm happy the measurements that I made on myself matched up with the size that I got ! So excited to wear it this summer !! I ordered a size large and I'm 5'5 tall, weigh 160 pounds and I wear a 34 DD and it fit perfectly on!

I was worried initially when the parcel came for this as it was so slim. I thought it was going to be a cheap costume style dress but I was wrong. It came in a nice little zip-up bag. The black ribbon parts are made from a nice double layered ribbon which makes the dress feel good quality. (Could do with an iron before going out but that's to be expected)The ribbon at the back ties up at the bottom so you won't need anyone to help with that either! There's also a zip that goes down to your hip on the side which I never even noticed until I'd already put it on, haha. I'm a 12 and the dress fits nicely.I'm looking forward to wearing this for my birthday meal. (The last photo is with an underskirt)

Ich habe mittlerweile 3 von den Kleidern, eigentlich brauchte ich nur ein Kleid für eine Rockabilly Hochzeit, aber ich kriege nicht mehr genug davon.Die Kleider sehen toll aus, Super Qualität und sie sind echt sehr günstig. Ich habe sie schon mehreren Freundinnen empfohlen. Bis jetzt war jedes Kleid wie auf den Bildern.Ich trage Oberteil Größe S/36 und habe daher in S bestellt. Das passt auch, sitzt obenhin aber knackig, wer mehr als Körbchengröße B hat sollte das Kleid dementsprechend größer bestellen. Ansonsten ist nur der Taillenumfang relevant, da das Kleid ab der Hüfte ausgestellt ist.Man kann die Kleider auch ohne Unterrock wunderbar tragen, mit Unterrock sieht es aber schon wirklich toll aus.Das Kleid wird an der Seite mit einem Reißverschluss verschlossen, das Band um die Taille liegt extra bei und ist nicht angenäht. Die Bindung am Rücken kann noch etwas enger gemacht werden bei Bedarf.Der Stoff ist eine Baumwollmischung, sieht gut aus und fühlt sich angenehm an.Auch nach dem Waschen war alles OK.Alles in allem ein wirklich tolles Kleid und eine klare Kaufempfehlung!

I'm in love 😍I got this dress for Halloween! It arrived today along with an underskirt I bought to go with it.I tried it on and I love it so much! It fits well, looks so cute and is exactly what I wanted.I'm a size 10 sometimes a 12 and I got medium which fit really well. I'm 5ft3 so it's a little longer on me than some of the other people who have reviewed but I prefer my dresses a bit longer 😊 I would definitely recommend, its gorgeous!

I was worried the dress would not fit even though I measured myself carefully & agonised over the decision as was for my Mum's 70th birthday party and would not have had time to re-order another dress. I have a petite frame, am 5ft 2'' but with a wide waist. My fears were unfounded and it fitted lovely, probably helped by fact you can tie halterneck and bodice lace at back as tight or loose as you like. I received many compliments and felt like a lady with the swooshy skirt. It came tightly packaged as mentioned by other reviewers, but did not need ironing before wearing just hanging up. Definitely needs a petticoat for the full vintage effect. I wore a black petticoat under my royal blue white polka dot dress. The black silky belt is not attached to dress, so you can change the belt if you choose. I washed it in my washing machine and its come up lovely as is made from quite thick material. So an excellent price for the quality. Overall very pleased and would definitely recommend !

This is a very beautiful dress. It gives me a great figure. Its made from a slightly stretchy material which is great if you are dancing or walking about a lot. Its fit is wonderful. This is the second dress I've brought from this company. There delivery time is very quick. I brought this dress within days of receiving my first dress, This was because I was so happy with the first one I just had to have another one.

This is beautiful, just beautiful. It's just like it is in the pictures but even lovlier. I did think it would be a cotton material but I was surprised and pleased to find it was a silky type of fabric. It's nice and light to wear, not too thick but not see through either. The lace up corset detail at the back is lovely too. I got the large, I am a size 10-12 UK and it was perfect, I couldn't have asked for a better fit. It was also very easy to get on with a zip at the side and you can tie the ribbons at the back by yourself too. All in all very happy with this buy, I will maybe get a couple of the other colours later on.

I have bought my wife a number of polka dot swing style dresses to wear at Modern Jive Freestyle Events .... this one is far and away the nicest and fits perfectly. She looks fab in it. With one or two retro stiff petticoats it looks amazing. Ladies if you want to look the part at dance events invest in one. Guys if you want a fab looking retro style lady on your arm then treat her!

Had so many compliments wearing this dress. Teamed it with white socks and white pumps. Beautiful colour. Came well packaged. I ordered a white underskirt for the real 50s look. The fit is snug but not too tight . I checked the size chart and my measurements matched the medium size guide (I’d usually be a small as quite petite but a slightly larger bust) . Elasticated back under a ribbon tie detail for extra adjustment. . Am so happy with the dress.

I am really pleased with this dress. It arrived in plenty of time. It is well made and the fabric is weighty enough to allow the skirt to hang well, I ordered a pink net petticoat to go underneath and that makes the skirt really full which is just the look I wanted.The fit is as expected, with the elasticated back and lacing, adjustments on size are easy too. I am a 16 and ordered the 2XL. It comes in a resealable bag which is great if you are travelling as it will pack into a case easily and it comes out virtually uncreased! I will probably order another one of these dresses this one is so nice!

This dress was lovely. I was really worried because it was such a great price but I was pleasantly surprised. one thing would say is that the red strap around the middle is not attached to the dress but is instead like a ribbon to tie yourself. I would also say that it is on the small side. I am a size 12 and ordered a medium and although it did go on it felt very tight therefore I regretfully returned the dress. 5 star service on the return as I posted the item on Tuesday morning and by the evening a refund was on the way to my account. Will order from this seller again.

Absolutely stunning dress for a small cost! Fits better than expected, I always by the size up on amazon but I could have ordered normally, even though it was the size up the small corset detail on the back allows to tighten as necessary. The sash was a bit annoying for me but that's probably because I hadn't tied it tight enough. The dress also survived and was suitable for a bar and club walk around London. Overall couldn't be more impressed!

Received different dress to colour ordered so had to return it. Tried it on for size first and found it somewhat snug and a bit short (ordered Large - I am 40c and 5ft 5in). Also the skirt is not as full as the illustration gives the impression of - even with underskirt I wasn't that impressed. If you are looking for a true likeness of a 50's dress, this is not for you. If you are looking for a lightweight summer dress - its fine.

My wife bought this for a wedding and she liked it so much, we ended up using it as a date night dress and even as her husband liked the dress. I thought my wife looked gorgeous in the dress and the price paid, it is without a doubt a nice pick and a very very looking dress. The fabric is also really nice and it fits really well. We would recommend.
