Very helpful book if you want to try Fast 800
Measurements are in grams and imperial measurements for the UK and EU but overall this is a very helpful book for those interested in cleaner eating, portion control and doing the Fast 800. There’s helpful information about the Fast 800 diet in practice and the 5:2 diet. The back part has meal planning information and good advice on cutting down on starches and snacks. There’s a good variety of recipes and lots of color photos. The Fast 800 is not an easy diet to stick to daily, so mastering a handful of go to recipes is really key to succeeding.

Great recipes
Just bought the book & went through it quickly . Excited to try out the recipes & expecting good results. Would have been wonderful if there were some testimonies of success results, as this would have been great encouragement. This is basically my last practical resort for attempting to reverse diabetes, Nafld,fibromyalgia , cholesterol & HBP. Tried it all now from no carbs to keto to calorie restriction800(besides starvation💁🏻♀️)Love the fact that I can finally measure without googling to convert unit measurements. Yay!!!

Delicious recipes!
So far I’ve made probably a half a dozen recipes from this book and they all are delicious. Even my meat and potatoes husband likes them. They’re fast and easy. I’ve had to weigh ingredients and convert from celcius to ferenheit, but I have a scale for baking and can look up the temp conversion, so that’s no biggie. I’m looking forward to trying more of the recipes.

Love the weighted measurements
I watched the Lose a stone in 14 days on YouTube and so ordered the cookbook. I am in the US and honestly all the reviews that complained about the UK measurements were an incentive for me. Weighing food is the only way to measure it. A half a cup could have different weights. For heaven sake just get a scale - they weigh in ounces and grams. I am more disappointed in the recipes that call for “ one medium courgette”- how many grams or ounces is that? I’ll add to my review once I make some of the recipes.

This is a great Recipe/Companion Book
If you have read the 800 Fast Diet, you need to add this book to your reading. The recipes are easy to prepare, using real food. The food tastes amazing, and it makes the transition to a new way of eating a lot easier. I have lost 30 pounds and feel great.

Measurements Are for UK
I didn't realize when I ordered this book it is written for a UK audience and the measurements in the ingredients list is different than how Americans measure to cook. It is mostly by weight as opposed to cup, tablespoon etc. I will have to do all the conversions prior to trying any recipes. If there was a version for the US market I would have bought that instead had I known this.

This book is easy to use with every day ingredients and the recipes turn out exactly as pictured. Delicious!

Buy this - also the Keto version. There are so many good recipes and most only have a handful of ingredients. Some of them have been on my regular rotation for years now - I am looking at you Dans Vegan Boulangese. Just about all are super quick to put together and lots of good ideas for a quick lunch.

I absolutely love this book, i have it out in the kitchen and i’m browsing it all the time. It’s become my ‘bible’. I am in no way a cook, i’m a Mom with grown up kids that now has time to cook for myself without accommodating a houseful. (My grown up kids, girlfriends etc and gym enthusiast husband, all like to do their own food) Usually i can’t be bothered with recipes as too many ingredients puts me off. Apart from some store cupboard items that i needed to get going, all the other items are fresh ingredients and readily available. You will need digital scales, proper measuring spoons to make sure the quantities are right. Most recipes are for two, just halve the ingredients or some meals can be frozen for another day. I’m not a big fan of red meat so the fish, chicken, food on the move and salads are perfect for me. I cook the casserole’s and roasts at the weekend for everyone. Absolutely brilliant book. After one week i’ve had comments on how well i look and shifted 5 lbs week one. I’m not particularly overweight but like everyone during lockdown gained a little weight, which i don’t like. I’ve tried all sorts of low carb diets and i’m quite controlled in the main, but usually get bored as i can’t think of things to eat. This book has solved the problem, the recipes are easy, quick, and taste fabulous. I honestly don’t feel like i’m missing out. There’s even a ‘speedy pizza’ which i feel like i’m having a real treat. Get the book and follow it to the letter. Can’t recommend it enough. 10 out of 10
