I bought these to replace the horrible safety gas can spouts that are constantly leaking and failing. They are universal and fit my cans as advertised. I would buy again.

We have gas containers for a lot of things. I like to keep extra around in case we need it for the generator. The containers didn't all come at once, so some of the spouts are getting old and the new ones are almost smarter than I am. Some of the cans didn't vent as well as they should and consequently bubbled and gulped and had a greater tendency to spill than necessary. This kit solved all those problems. Easy to install vents.

This set of replacement gas spouts worked very well on my generic five gallon gas can that were purchased in 2019. The spouts that came with the cans were too difficult to operate. Different size rings are provided so you can choose the ring that screws on the tightest for a leak free fit. The spouts are flexible for pouring. They are an acceptable length but I could have wished for a little longer spout. Otherwise they are a good replacement set for the price.

EDIT: For the SECOND TIME 2/3 seals FAILED and dissolved upon FIRST CONTACT with gas. That brings us up to 20 Gallons of Premium gas RUINED by these guys. (Around $60 worth.) Seller should Revise the description of this item to say its only for water, not gas. VERY UNHAPPY!Furthermore, the seller claims this "never happened before" but as you can see from other reviews this KEEPS HAPPENING. The seller KNOWS the seals are failing and doing NOTHING about it. Reporting to Amazon for fraud.My Original review is below.Do not buy this product, it is dangerous and will destroy your engine. After only 2 days with gas in the cans the seals degraded and started breaking into small pieces. I now have to filter 10 Gallons of gas, and the 5 I put may destroy my engine. My engine is skipping and gas economy is down by 50%. I'm going to try fuel injector cleaner but I may have to pay for a $500 car repair. DO NOT BUY! +2 Stars because the breather vents are OK.

I bought these because the two new polyethylene gas cans that I bought have spring-loaded pour spouts with safety interlocks. The spouts were constantly falling apart (plastic retaining tabs in the spring-loaded mechanism were deformed and wouldn't hold) so I found these.Everything about these things is marginally usable. The seal is prone to leaking if it's the tiniest bit out of position when you screw the spout on. You won't know it until you go to use one, at which time it will dribble some fuel. Unscrew the spout, adjust the seal, tighten the spout. That usually fixes it until the next time you fill the can, then you get to spill another dribble of fuel.The vent caps have a tendency to pop open and occasionally fall out entirely. At least they're yellow and easy to spot.The spouts get the job done but are pretty floppy. Problem is, you usually need both hands to handle a 5 full gallon gas can, so pouring without spilling becomes an exercise in creativity.The caps have plastic rings to hold them on the spout. While this keeps them from getting lost, the rings bind on the spout when you screw the caps on, which means that capping the gas can is a two-hand job (one hand to spin the cap, another to wind the retaining ring around and around).I'm giving these things 3 stars because they fit and don't leak (once you get the seal in the right place, that is). In other words, they meet the minimum standards for usability. They work just well enough that I won't spend the money to replace them, but that's not saying much.

I replaced the spouts in all three of our 5 gallon jerry cans. I love that they’re the flexible kind. They come with everything you need, including the washers to prevent leaks.

Newer gas cans that I bought a couple of years ago had safety spouts on them that are difficult to use, short, rigid and narrows the spout to about the width of pencil. I ended up spilling more gas than I ever did with the old straight through spouts. I didn't want the new safety spout but felt there was no choice since that was all that was being sold around here. Now thanks to Kool Products, I no longer have to hate my gas cans. The long, flexible spouts now allow me to fill my vehicle (the short safety spout couldn’t even get close to my fuel filler neck), and flows rather well. Spillage is also minimized at refill. The kits come complete with two different caps threaded course or fine (3 each), 3 long spouts (with flame arresters/filters), 3 vents for cans without vents (like my safety cans), and three replacement type (attachment), vent caps for my older cans that I can now use again because of this kit), 3 vent caps (no attaching point), and three plastic lanyards. Not only was I able to convert two of my new cans, I was able to repair three of my older cans. If you have safety spouts and hate them, get this, you won’t regret it!

I don't know who came up with these new gas container filler spouts, they're like a puzzle to use. Push this, line up that and hopefully gas will come out. I saw this and easily modified two of my plastic containers. Easy to install and all of the fittings that you need as included. The important thing is follow the instruction for the drilling of the vent hole. Don't use a twist bit. Another important thing is the parts only fit plastic gas containers. I have one metal can with a leaky spout, the metal cans have threads that are not as high as the plastic gas containers. Now the gas cans are fast and easy to use, pop off the filler cap and pour.

No more slow fuel transfer with the glug, glug, glug. Using a step drill it is very easy to drill the holes then the vent plug is pushed in. Works great and refueling is much faster. The longer spouts work great as well and each has a screw on cap. I highly recommend this product. The only drawback that I found was that the package was sent from the US thus the delivery window was slightly longer than anticipated.

They don't work well on wedco cans! Flimsy plastic breaks quickly

These are pretty good to make your modern fuel jugs useful. There’s some rough spots I needed to file down to make a good seal but after a bit of tinkering I got it all sealed up and leak free on my Wedco and Scepter cans. Now it doesn’t take 15 minutes to empty a 20 litre jug.Update. After a couple months use one of the spouts seems to have reacted with the fuel and went all soft at the base. It deformed to the point where it slips down into the can when I try to tighten the cap and now and is unusable. One of the caps broke as well. Astonishingly cheap materials used.
