BEST CORDYCEP PRODUCT ON THE MARKET!
This is my favorite Four Sigmatic product by far. I really hope they restock. It helps so much with athletic performance and recovery. I get more reps in the gym if I take it before a workout. It works by increasing efficiency of oxygen use in the muscles. So I can get more reps in if I take it before going to the gym and go harder on a shift if playing ice hockey. It’s a must-have for high elevation hikes when I visit the mountains. It really helps me acclimate. It has no caffeine, which is nice. It tastes like a light berry tea that also has some umami. I often mix it with coffee and milk pre-workout or throw it into a recovery smoothie post.

Results after 3 days of consistent use.
A friend mailed me three packets of Lion's Mane with the directions to "drink in coffee every morning for three days," then get back to him with how I felt. DAY 1: I felt an extra jolt, something I couldn't quite put my finger on. My attention and focus seemed better, memory recall etc. It kind of felt like my brain was in the Matrix, I was able to catch anything that flew by me. It was amazing. I figured it was the placebo effect though. DAY 2: I didn't feel quite the same intensity of results, but felt good. DAY 3: I didn't feel quite anywhere near what I felt on day 1 and day 2, but I did notice that my mood had been consistently good for those three days, my mental energy was consistent from morning to night, and I was able to recall names, places, and facts without hesitation -- rarity for me. I ordered a box of my own. DAY 4: No Lion's Mane, no withdrawals, no feelings of grogginess, just felt completely normal. DAY 5: Still felt normal. DAY 6: Normal still. DAY 7: Got my box of Lion's Mane in the mail, gave some to my friends and asked them to tell me how they felt after 3 days of consistent use. Everybody loved the initial rush of Day 1, all said they felt focusing was better. Some have been asking me to give them more since then lol. Tastes like the back of a stamp with earthy tones, and somebody said it definitely has a mushroom flavor. It really inspired me to find natural mental boosters, so grabbed some Ginkgo Biloba tea at the local Asian grocery and now make a morning elixir with the Ginkgo and Lion's Mane. I much prefer drinking it in a tea, rather than my coffee (I love the taste of coffee as it's own elixir). The friend who sent me packets that started this whole thing uses Lion's Mane every day. He says he doesn't notice the effects anymore, but says that overall he feels great -- but he's a healthful dude overall. Who really knows? 5 Stars though.

Not delicious but makes my brain feel better
I often feel like my brain is in spiderwebs and it's frustrating. When my brother told me about this product he heard of, I was skeptical but figured it was worth trying. I'm glad I did. The elixir made me feel more clear and more confident in my ability to use my brain well. I felt like I could 1. recall words faster without being tongue tied, and 2. had more energy and focus to get things done as opposed to putting off tasks. I've questioned whether or not it's a placebo effect but even if it is, it's worth it. After several days of taking this I didn't feel the effects as much. I wondered if stopping and starting again would change that. So, after the package supply ran out and due to (what I think is) the high cost, I tried another company's lower cost product in pill form and was disappointed. After two weeks of not taking this elixir but taking the pills, I started the elixir again today and immediately felt the same positive effects. During my first try with the elixir, I couldn't stand the taste and had to chug it without smelling it. I told myself it was for the greater good but it was not enjoyable. Although it is sweetened with stevia, it still grossed me out. This time, however, I don't love it but it's more tolerable - maybe because I know that I feel better. In my experience it's best to drink it with a small cup of hot water - like a tea- rather than adding honey or other beverages to it. Doing that seems to only worsen the taste of the beverage you like as opposed to improving the earthy taste of the elixir. Last, and totally not relevant to the effects of the elixir: I like the design on the packaging and I LOVE the way the individual packets feel. They're soft and make me feel like I'm going to consume something fancy.

Tried 2 of them. Taste is split. Nice effect on both, but spendy.
I have tried two of them... The "Boost" Taste: This one tastes the best IMO. Plain or with mixer/sweetener it has an pleasant, mild earthy taste. Effect: Provides focus more than energy, not the punch of coffee or tea, because it's not a stimulant, and because its not, you don't experience a crash. I rather like the taste and effect. The "Calm" Taste: This one has an unpleasant aftertaste for me, with or without mixer/sweetener, so I tend to just mix it plain and slam it LOL. Effect: Not a super noticeable effect or feeling per se, but I definitely seem to have an easier time getting to sleep and seem to sleep a touch better, if I have it close to bed, which is why I deal with the taste. For taste alone I prefer the "Boost", but I wouldn't recommend that close to bed. I don't know that it would keep you up, but I couldn't see it improving the quality of your sleep either.

Perfect for maintaining focus and retention
I’m a pilot who is constantly in training learning new concepts and maneuvers. I’m also in my 50’s so learning heavy subjects isn’t as easy as it once was for me. Four Sigmatic Elixer with Lions Mane helps me retain the new information and keeps me feeling a sense of calm when I could be overwhelmed by the sheer volume of complex theories, important written tests and stressful checkrides. The flavor isn’t strong and doesn’t overpower whatever you’re adding it to, yet it provides a boost of mental energy and smoothes out the stress without leaving me foggy like some supplements can do.

Great Elixir for the brain
This item is very precious to the elderly. I just wish that for the price the seller will include 30 envelopes instead of just 20. At least that way I can have a months supply

Not easy to blend
I ordered/received this accidentally when reordering my Four Stigmatic Instant Mushroom Coffee packets. I love the instant coffee packets. No issues with those, but these elixir mixers are nearly impossible to mix in. If you have a frother, it would probably be fine, otherwise it takes a solid 10-15 minutes to fully blend it in and that is with vigorous spoon stirring and squishing it up against the side of a cup. If I have packets of something, that means it's more of an on-the-go item so it's irritating that I have to wait for this to blend without the use of other tools. I've tried a bunch of other methods to see what would work for getting it to blend easier/faster and all have failed. (I don't have a frother though.) It does eventually blend in on its own but by the time that happens, your coffee will be cold. It has little to no taste, not even a slight mushroom taste like their coffees do, so while in theory it sounds great if you don't like the taste - but it leaves me to wonder if it isn't as potent as the others. It's expensive for what it is. It has to be added to your usual coffee/tea and isn't a standalone. I haven't noticed a difference with this in my coffee compared to other mushroom additives or even their own mushroom coffee. Not a fan of this. Get their coffees instead or if you just want something to add mushrooms, I like the Naturealm Sacred 7 powdered mushrooms. I ran out so I started using these elixir packets instead just to use them up and they're just not as beneficial. Maybe it's because I'm used to more mushrooms and this one only has a couple, I don't know.
