My husband purchased this COSIN SOUND ALARM product in SEPTEMBER 2019 for our personal use since we both travel a lot, locally and internationally. In fact, I have almost forgotten about this gadget until it worked its function today, this early morning of JULY 25, 2020, Saturday. You would think that it is just a tiny thing, but boy it was so loud and very powerful! It gave us the security we badly needed at the time we needed it most! BACKGROUND INFO: 1. We were at home sleeping soundly when suddenly our motion sensor at our fire escape went on. The music alarm was loud it woke us up. So, we got out of bed. Checked our security camera from our iPads. 2. Yes, there was an intruder downstairs. There was a car that pulled into our alley! 3. At 2 AM, the heart San Francisco where we live was still very much asleep and quiet. 4. In our security camera, it showed that a white car stopped right in front of our fire escape that leads to our veranda which leads inside our domicile. 5. FYI, the fire escape ladder is fixed on the floor level. Very inviting to the bad elements. This is why it was imperative that we had the security system installed. 6. The car was there, canvasing our place. Across us is an office building and the other buildings within the alley is residential. With all buildings’ security lights being on didn’t scare off this white car/intruder/s. 7. As the time moved on, my husband and I were in tandem. We did our protocol. 8. I grabbed my KOSIN Safe Sound Personal Alarm and pulled out the lock and bingo! The loud sound went off! 9. I ran fast to the veranda and placed the KOSIN Safe Sound Personal Alarm out there. Then, watched the car downstairs…what would the intruder/s do? 10. Suddenly, I saw the white car backing off as fast as the driver could! The KOSIN Safe Sound Personal Alarm sound was way so loud that they/he/she heard it quite well, despite of the fact that the car was closed and the windows as well. So this shows and proves on how powerful and loud this KOSIN Safe Sound Personal Alarm is! 11. That did the trick! EPILOGUE: Who would think that such a tiny object could work its wonder? Honestly, I never thought that a day would come when this gadget would be so handy and useful to me and my husband. And that has proven me right today! I hope that I would have no use for it in the future. But one never knows so I’d keep it close by and handy! LASTLY: I highly recommend KOSIN Safe Sound Personal Alarm for its powerful make up, and it serves its purpose which is to scare away the bad people!!!! I want to thank the manufacturer of this gadget. It is superb, great quality and very functional!

I purchased this 6-pack of KOSIN Safe Sound Personal Alarms primarily for peace of mind for myself and family members. Overall, they serve their core purpose as a personal security device, and for that I am grateful. However, my main reservation, and why I’m rating them three stars, is that I really wish they were a little bit louder. The 140DB claim seems generous; while the alarm is certainly noticeable if someone is close by, in a busy or noisy environment, I worry it might not cut through the ambient sound enough to draw immediate attention from a distance. The LED light is a useful addition for finding a keyhole in the dark. They function as intended and offer basic security, but an increase in actual audible volume would make them much more effective and deserving of a higher rating.

I got these personal alarms for several different reasons. I got one for my grandson that is away at college and rides a bike around campus and around town so he can easily pull this loud alarm if anyone bothers him to alert anyone around. I also got one for my dad who is going through chemotherapy so he can alert my nephew who is staying with him if he needs help in the bathroom or if he would fall. I also wanted one for myself while walking our dogs in the woods as we have seen several bears on the trail cameras to hopefully scare one away if we’d come up on one. These louder alarms would be great for anyone who leaves work and has to walk to their car to hopefully scare off a would be attacker. The wrist band is very small and barely fits on my hand but does not fit my dads or grandsons. But we all just stick them in a pocket. I have my keys on one of mine. The price was a great value price. Shipping and delivery were fast.
