My husband is a tennis player and purchased these glucosamine capsules on his doctor's recommendation. After taking them for about a month he decided that they were helping him and thought that I might also benefit from taking them, so I also purchased some. I took my first one in the morning and within a few minutes I started itching all over my back, torso, arms, and legs. The itching lasted for about two hours. I took another one that evening and again started itching. This time the itching lasted until about 8 hours. I took another capsule the next morning. It was only when I began itching again that I realized that the glucosamine tablets were the culprit. I immediately gave the remaining capsules to my husband, since he has had zero side effects. After about 5 hours the itching stopped. I am allergic to soy, some nuts, corn syrup, ink and who knows what else, maybe shellfish. This supplement is probably fine for most people but if you have allergies, be careful. I was fortunate that it was just itching and nothing more severe.
