Kills moss quite well.
Used this stuff on a 16' x 12' screen porch roof to make my insurance company happy. (Even though the porch will be coming down and be rebuilt.) Yeah, it was pretty mossy. This moss killer works. I used it pretty liberally coverage-wise. Everything went brown and sort of dried up. I then used a hose spray and a broom to get the dead stuff off. Insurance company was then happy.

Killed the moss on my VersaCourt Tennis Court, but took a few days to be sure
We have a VersaCourt Tennis court and after spring and now heavy rainfall lots of moss. You need a garden hose to spread the spray, but it's easy to attach and the switch built into the container works perfectly. It take up to 3 days for the moss to turn brown. Once brown, the moss is clearly dead. It might need less than three days if it didn't rain every day. It ain't cheap, and perhaps ferrous sulfate a cheaper product might work as well but we were reluctant to try it on the plastic tile surface as the instructions on the product say it's for lawns not hard surfaces.

Moss Eradication
Product worked but I did have to buy another bottle to use. My moss growth was in abundance. Killed visible moss on first application but small patches started to sprout 2 days later. Recommend after treating moss using a tool to pull up dead moss between pavers.

May need more than one application and doesn't go very far
The only thing I really liked was that it doesn't stain wood or concrete. The shape of the container made it difficult to point and direct in 'one of those' places....if just waving it back and forth in a big yard it was o.k. It was one or off...hard to control application rate. It doesn't go very far and having to buy another bottle just to follow up the previous treatment gets too pricey (not a good value).

Worked great
I used this on my backyard where some moss was growing among the grass and in the front yard where is was growing on some concrete. I followed the directions and it worked. The back yard looks great. The moss turned from green to brown and then more grass sprung up. On the concrete, it changed colors and then i had to scrape it (very easy to remove, a strong hose would probably work too). I wish I could use this in my neighbors yard too!

Works? A little, but not enough, big difference from Home depot offering
**BASICALLY a re-review from the latest purchase March 2024*** I as you can read from my previos review am a Scott's fan , not with the AMAZON SUPPLIED version of mossex. As another poster mentioned that they thought that this supply was different then what you buy in home depot. It is obviously true, as my neighbor and I found out. He bought it at home depot and myself here, but the results were super different. You can see in the pictures that my moss was at best damaged and is making a come back, his is all dead, turned black as it should. We both happen to put our versions down on our lawns the same day which was the day before a 3 day series of rain here in the Boston suburbs. Unfortunately my version appears to be defective/old stick, I love scotts products, NOT Loving the obvious fact I was sent a defective or out of date stock. Now I have to figure out what to apply without killing my lawn This is all being sold by Scott so really puzzled as to why this happened. Last time I will purchase from scotts on Amazon as it obvious you are taking a chance on getting good stock. Not the end of the world , but what a pain in the backside as I trusted scotts to send a working product. ----'----‐---------------------------------------- Pre covid this stuff worked great if you did the work that is to first scrap away/rake away as much moss as possible. The last two users, doing the above only had a 50/50 result. That is in some places it worked great some very little results. I use there products starting in the spring through the fall , using pre emergints , fertilizers , beetle control, etc. It's truly disappointing that post covid the product dosent work as well as pre covid. Unfortunately looks like I will have to explore other products

Actually works
If you have made it this far, you probably know the typical result from moss killing products. It will turn brown for a few days and then come back just as strong as before. This product is not the same, it actually worked. I caked it on pretty heavy not expecting much, gave a light watering, and with an hour to he moss was black, not brown but black. It was dead and didn't come back. This is the only product I have used (including the spray version of this same brand) that actually works. I was pleasently surprised how far a bag goes. I used about 1/4 bag on a 8×8 area and probably could have gotten away with using less. 5 stars, hands down best moss killing product on the market. Highly recommended.

AMAZING STUFF
This is the real deal for moss killer! I have literally tried bags upon bags of lime which are heavy and never did work. Had a lawn person out and the quoted price was outrageous to treat and kill it so I had just excepted my front yard would just be a bed of ugly moss till I tried this stuff. I attached to my hose and sprayed. So easy and by day 4 the video shows the difference. I just ordered second bottle to finish rest of yard and I’m sure I will have to respect all again due to the amount of moss. We have 11 oak trees in front yard and due to the high acidity the produce it makes it very hard to grow nice green grass until now and I’m so excited and relieved I finally found something that is legit!
