AVEDA Sun Care Protective Hair Veil 3.4 Oz, 3.4 Fl Oz ()

Moved to Southern Florida and needed something to protect mine and my daughter's hair from the UV rays plus constant pool and salt water. It's super easy to apply and leaves our hair smooth. Only con is it has a strong chemical smell so better to spray in an open area.

We've tried quite a few different brand hair sunscreens, and were not satisfied. They usually made hair very greasy. The veil works, smells great, & lasts for hours. An added bonus when you're a paranoid Mama dropping your kid off at daycare. The price is STEEP, but worth every penny. Has lasted us all summer so far. Buy it!

Needed this to protect my roots this summer - worked like a charm! I sprayed on dry hair (never tried on wet hair) before going for a run or to the beach/pool on vacation. My color held up when I previously noticed some fade or roots coming through too early. 4 stars because I did notice some increased greasiness to my hair. Otherwise, great product, smells fine, and definitely works.

This product was recommended by my Hair Care specialist and in addition to all of its other uses, it protects my silver hair from yellowing in the sun. You just never know how versatile it can be!

I'm sorry to say, it doesn't work. I colored my hair my usual shade on Sunday evening.......reddish brown. Unless I wear a hat constantly, my color fades so I was really hoping this product would work. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings I sprayed my hair with the product. It's Wednesday evening. My hair color has faded. It's not like I'm not in the sun during the day. I walk to and from my car throughout the day. I'm very disappointed.

It does a good job on keeping my hair from feeling dry when I come in from several hours in the sun. Keeps the frizz at bay so my hair stays wavy. I'm not sure about keeping the color lasting longer bc it's the first time I'm using it but hopefully it does that too since that's part of why I bought it. The only reason I've rated it a 3 out of 5 is bc of the smell. I was hoping for a fresh scent. However this legit smells like Pinesol. Almost like a lemon cleaning product. Not good but I can't send it back and $50 is a lot of money. So I'll be using it whenever I'm going to be out in the sun for an extended period of time so it'll do its job. Then take a shower and wash it off.

I get that it's hard to create a sunscreen for the hair that doesn't leave it greasy. It's hard enough to find a sunscreen for skin that doesn't do this. But of all the sunscreen sprays I've tried, this one is the best for feeling weightless (as long as you dose properly!) and light. Now, to what extent is it actually protecting my hair? That's impossible to tell, with this or any other hair product, because I've never gotten a hair sunburn, and I don't really need this for my scalp. But for the finish and texture, this is a great buy.

Maybe makes hair kinda dirty
