The Bermuda Triangle (Torque Books: The Unexplained)

Ridiculous
This has to be the thinnest book ever written. I don't usually look at page totals before making a purchase, but if I had I certainly would not have bought this 24 page epic. Hard to beleive a publisher would waste time hard cover binding such a thing.

This is a fun book about the mysterious disappearances in the Bermuda Triangle ...
On December 5, 1945 it was like any other day when Flight 19 flew into the Florida skies. The squadron of five Navy planes "were on a training mission," a mission that would be remembered for a long time. Shortly after takeoff something was seriously wrong because "the planes were lost and their instruments were not working." What could have caused all of these planes to simply vanish into thin air? A rescue crew was sent out to find them, but strangely enough that plane vanished as well. They were lost in the Bermuda Triangle. The Bermuda Triangle, or Devil's Triangle as some people have dubbed it, "stretches from the southern tip of Florida to the island of Puerto Rico." Hundreds of years ago sailor's called it the Sea of Lost Ships. It is an area where there have been many strange events. Ships and airplanes have disappeared without reason and "pilots have reported instruments going wild." There have even been "Ghost Ships" found without a single soul onboard. In this book you will learn about many ships and planes that mysteriously vanished from the earth, theories surrounding these disappearances (some quite bizarre), and you'll learn many other interesting things about the Bermuda Triangle. This is a fun book about the mysterious disappearances in the Bermuda Triangle. Although not particularly lengthy, this is a high interest book that will especially attract the attention of the newly independent and reluctant reader. The imaginative and exciting illustrations of things like a rogue wave and a giant squid looming over a ship draw in many readers. In the back of the book is an index, a glossary, and additional book and website resources (through Fact Surfer) to explore.
