Excellent quality
I had what I think is a mat from this same company for many years. This mat is nice and thick and fits my sink perfectly. It is a quality product. It was well worth the price. Some reviewers commented that it had a nasty smell. Mine has no smell whatsoever. It looks very nice and seems like it’s going to hold up well. My previous mat did eventually start yellowing, but that was after many years. This mat is crystal clear. I just received my mat, so I’m not sure about stain resistance, but I will update my review in 6 months if I remember. My previous mat was fairly stain resistant, but I always rinsed it off after it was exposed to tomato sauce. Most of the other mats on Amazon are made of PVC and aren’t dishwasher safe. This mat is a different kind of plastic that is dishwasher safe. That is important to me for hygiene reasons. I put my mat in the dishwasher weekly. I don’t want anything growing on it, like bacteria, mold, mildew, etc. I’m very happy with my purchase.UPDATE I have had this mat for about 3 weeks now and I did notice a slight smell but it’s going away. We poured red spaghetti sauce in the sink and the mat was soaked in it. I put it in the dishwasher but it is slightly stained. I think it will fade with time. I would still purchase this mat I love the plastic it made of. It’s very pliable thick and the mat stays in place. It has tiny nibs on the bottom so water drains under the mat.

I really like using these
Love using in the bottom of my kitchen sink. Mine were stained and hardened it was weird to put down brand new ones that I could see though. My sink looks so clean now LOL. Water and little nasties flow through the holes fine. They are reasonably priced. Very easy to use. They are larger but I like mine a little bigger but they still fit snugly.

Good looking and functional
I bought two of these for a double sink with two different sizes. A black, cast iron, ceramic coated sink. One of them lays at the bottom of the larger side without touching the sides. The other fits in the smaller side and it wraps a little up the sides. The slits on the corners allow the material to fold over and not bunch up. These are made of a durable material. I haven't seen any cracking or peeling or any signs of wear yet after about two months. They have little nubs on the bottoms side. My guess is that these help with water drainageWhen washing dishes, the tend to move around a little in soapy water. They don't float. It doesn't bother me. I like them because they protect the ceramic coating on the sink and the pots and pans don't slide around. You will have to take some extra time to clean these because, with greasy dishes, they tend to get slick and oily. This is normal in my opinion. Easy to clean with grease cutting dish washing liquid.I have noticed that fewer glasses have been broken. I sometimes get in a hurry and plop glasses into the sink. The rubber material provides a softer landing.

Great product! Great price! No smell, discoloration, or floating. AND 2 year follow-up pictures.
Not sure why the "Top Customer Reviews" are from about 2 years ago rather than much more recent reviews. Also not sure if this is a different material than received by those who gave past reviews indicating staining and odor. Considering these reviews, we only purchase one to see how it worked in our sink. We have not been disappointed! With the clear Sink Saver we received there has not been any issue with either smell, staining, or floating, and we've had it for over 2 months now. Again, it could be made from an updated material over those purchase 2 years ago. There is also a possibility that we've not cooked certain foods which have caused the staining experienced by previous reviewers, but we have rinsed spaghetti sauce and other similar 'colorful' foods through it, and ours has remained clear and odor free. We clean it weekly with Scrubbing Bubbles, and that has worked very well also. We did need to cut a hole to match the drain hole location of the sink, but being shipped without a prefabricated hole allowed us to cut the exact size and location we wanted.Very happy and will definitely be buying another for under our drainer in the other sink, and also the "Sink Saddle" for the divider between the two sinks: www.amazon.com/InterDesign-36700-Sink-Saddle-Clear/dp/B000QRCNPM/ref=pd_bxgy_201_2?ie=UTF8&refRID=0GG23PCFDQR16E821BTBWe have not had any regrets at all, especially with the great price!2 YEAR FOLLOW-UP:We have now had the Sink Savers for just over 2 years.Picture 1 is the original picture posted with the original review.Picture 2 shows the condition of the Sink Saver after 2 yearsPicture 3 shows the condition of the sink after 2 years being protected by the Sink Saver. There are minor scratches more visible at the sink than in the picture. I can only imagine what the scratching would be like without the Sink Savers. We're ordering replacements today!

This item has an odor that I can't get rid of.
When I opened the packaging the odor was horrible. Enough to almost want to put it back in the packaging and return. I soaked the mat in hot soapy water and then another night in baking soda water. The odor is still present. It's too bad because the mat fits the sink perfect and does not move around like plain flat mats. I had a mat like this from another supplier and learned that with these mats not to put plates, pans etc. that have something with a color such as spaghetti sauce because it stains and you cannot get the color out. Even soaking in bleach doesn't completely work

What's that smell!
I purchased a set of these several years ago and they were perfect for my needs, so when they became stained, I ordered another set, despite negative reviews about the odor. I thought it couldn't be that bad, but I was wrong. It's horrible! I left them outside for over a week, and continued to use them thinking surely the odor would eventually go away. I've had them for over two months now, and they smell as bad as ever. They're going in the trash.
