In its very own league...
Truly unique film to which neither the brand "horror" nor "giallo" would do the kind of justice it calls for. If you've seen "A bell from hell," also scripted by the great Santiago Moncada, or "La semana del asesino," miss-marketed in the US as "The cannibal man," you'll get a hint of what I am talking about. For those looking for the moderate to high body count usually found in Italian thrillers under this rubric, it's there, but far in between. Also, one of those very few films in which open ends actually work. Great fairy- tale based imagery, not too different from the approach used in "A bell from hell;" in this case Jack and the Magic Beans and Little Red Riding Hood. Jean Seberg from Breathless and Lilith, as well as former Spanish pop singer Marisol as the eponymous character and Barry Stokes do all a wonderful job. Much closer to the works of Luis Buñuel than to anything else (think Dairy of a Chambermaid), if you are willing to throw your expectations out the window, you'll get more out of it than expected. Very visually engaging and not so much plot, but motif- oriented; no wonder why Juan Antonio Bardem (Javier and Carlos' uncle, by the way) is considered by many one of the great Spanish filmmakers of all time. I own a copy of Paul Naschy's Dracula's Great Love, which is also very surreal and unconventional, by Vinegar Syndrome. I must say I am very satisfied with the job they did with both films!

Spanish giallo from the uncle of Javier bardem
Ive watched alot of Spanish horror thriller films throughout the years and never knew this film existed until i purchased the blu ray copy from Amazon. Just released a lil over a month ago. But in the style of the Italian giallo. This one follows along just as well. Great film..not the best but definitely worth a watch.

Starts off slow..... packs a punch at the end! Never heard of this film before. Took a chance... great payoff!

"Terrible Horror Film!"
I watched this a good twenty minutes to see if it would pick up better, but it never got better. It got terribly boring. I skip this absolutely horrible horror film. Thumbs down.

Seductora Pepa Flores
No pensé que pudiera conseguir esta película en BR, por eso no me ha importado pagar algo más por esta edición extranjera. Efectivamente incluye versión en castellano, además doblada por la propia Marisol, con su voz tan característica. La película tiene buena imagen y más teniendo en cuenta la fecha de su realización. Incluye, además del BR, la versión en DVD. Como curiosidad, está rodada en Comillas, Cantabria. Incluso se "marca" un pequeño "cameo musical" con el "Au clair de la lune". Marisol, muy guapa, en plena juventud, con los estilismos de esa época. La historia, entretenida, y curiosa también la breve aparición de Perla Cristal en el papel de antigua vedette retirada. Si os gusta Marisol y no os importa pagar un poco más, la recomiendo. También es cuestión de esperar a que baje un poco el precio.
