This listing is for 6 x Foxglove Digitalis 'Sugar Plum' Large Plug Plants for potting on, see photographs. A real 'show-stopper' for backs of beds and borders. Attracts beneficial insects to the garden. Tall spikes of large bells that are a showy statement. Blooms well in the first year, and profusely the second. Foxgloves prefer light shade and in the wild are usually seen in wooded areas. Their tall flowering height make them a good addition to a cottage garden border. Foxgloves bloom in mid-summer and are extremely popular with bumble bees. These perform best in a rich, moist soil. Allow plants to form seed, and they will often self-sow to produce future generations. New plants that form can be easily moved in their first season, while still small.

Excellent service.
Plug plants arrived quickly and undamaged, plugs seem healthy and have good rooting. Plugs planted day after delivery and have initially taken well.

Unsatisfactory
Plants were in an unsatisfactory condition with quite a few broken leaves, several yellow malnourished leaves and very wilted. Not good value for money imo. Hoping they will survive and become established now they are potted in high nutrition good quality compost. Very disappointing.Edit - 17 June 2021 - All the plants are still alive and have grown young new leaves. The old leaves did not recover so the plugs are smaller now than they were when they arrived. These plants are too small to be planted out this year and certainly not established enough to flower but hopefully they will be hardy enough by the autumn to survive the winter, I dont fancy having to nuture them through the winter in the greenhouse, they have already needed a lot of babysitting!Edit - 6 July 2021With much tender care and kept well watered and mostly in shade , the plants are now established in pots and have grown into robust young plants. I will keep them in pots for the time being.

Fast delivery, good healthy plants. Highly recommend.
Arrived earlier than expected, reasonably well packaged, but a little flat. I think this was more the courier service to blame as the package clearly stated live plants. The plug plants themselves were nice and moist, and soon bounced back after only a few minutes of opening. They are slightly larger than I expected and are nice strong, healthly looking plants. I ordered both the white "Purpurea Alba" and the "Sugar Plum" and they are both very good. Great value for money. Would highly recommend and will gladly purchase more plants from this company.

Rubbish!
Not even on of these plants lived, out of about 50 plants.

No flowers!
Leaves grew to about 3-4 inches, no flowers produced - waste of time and money. By teh time you find out they will not flower it is too late to plant more.

Disapointing midleading size guide
Very misleading size guide. Even arrived in a box half size illustrated. As you can see from photo 2-3 are particually very small. Fortunately foxgloves grow on well. But had i known id not paid £15 for these.

Good strong plants
Well rooted and able to plant outside already. Instructions how to care for them on delivery appreciated. Look forward to years of flowers.

Good stock but little.
One died upon arrival. Others very small, got 4 leaves on them. Looking like next year before flowering. Think good quality root system though. Well packed. Easy instructions.
