4.5 Stars Actually. A Great Book For a General Overview on Inverts.
I wish I could give half stars because I'm not sure my complaint of this books warrants knocking it down to 4. I would rather give it 4.5. I was expecting more information on actually setting up displays with specific species, for example how to set up a display for hissing cockroaches with photos of actual dispalys, rather than general habitat guidelines but the information is wonderful. It was the first of Orin's big books I bought and it was well worth it but if I had it to do over again, knowing what I do now, I may skip this one and buy a different one of his more specific books. It didn't keep me from purchasing the Mantid and Millipede books and I have a few others on my want list as soon as I can stop buying actual animals. Who knows, I may just have to buy them all to complete the set even if I don't expect to keep the animals. One huge plus was the variety of inverts covered. I had no idea that I wanted to keep assassin bugs and water scorpions until I read this book. Come to think of it that may not be a plus.

Four Stars
A useful book however I would have liked greater information on exhibit design features to showcase these creatures.

Good info, terrible paper quality. Not worth the price imho.
This book would get 5 stars on content if the publisher even looked like they tried to print this as a 'real' book. The paper is thin and see-through and has the feel of economy printer paper. Not a gloss to be found. The cover is deceptively beautiful with a nice waxed-look surface and hardcover that sells all the information inside nicely. Sadly once you open it you feel VERY cheated for the pricetag. Good read, but unless you find it in a discount bin, I can't advise until they reprint on proper paper.
