Great idea in theory, but make sure you can remove the head rests in your vehicle before ordering. I ordered and then learned the head rests in my Durango area adjustable, but not removable.

Like others have said, you need to be able to remove your headrests to install these, I knew mine came off because it's a stated feature to recline the seats into the back seats on the 1G Scion TC. They come with two diameters of rubber grommet (smaller is already installed), in the case that your headrest attachment posts are thicker. I used the smaller (pre-installed) grommets.The grommets are a little tight, but fit fine on my car. The uncentered position of my headrest posts on my seat means my hooks overhand the edge of fabric when facing front, but do not hang over the edge of the fabric when facing rear! This still works OK, just understand that the hooks aren't so long they will overhang in both directions.I frequently place bags and such in the front passengers seat, I've wanted a hook solution to help secure them for a while. These seems like they will do fine.In regards to my headrests, I've been keeping them at the lowest possible position, these device will increase the height of the your headrests, however I found this to not be a problem. I hadn't really adjust the headrests anyway, so even though these caused the headrests to use the second-lowest setting, instead of the lowest. I'm fine with it and comfortable driving with one of these on the driver's headrest.

This unit is a bit flimsy. The instructions are straight forward and everything goes smoothly, if you have the right spacing between headrest pillars. My truck has posts that are too wide. I installed it on another vehicle and it worked. It's rather flimsy. There are other hangers on Amazon that don't require the headrest to be removed for installation. They also don't have restrictions on spacing, because they are separate units for each post. This just isn't all that great of a design. The hooks aren't all that deep, either. I was able to get a much better set for my truck.

I was very excited to put these on our front seats so that our kiddos could hang their water bottles from them. Unfortunately, the headrests on our suburban don’t come completely out of the seat, so these won’t work for it. I’m not sure how they would work in a car that does have removable headrests. Honestly, they don’t seem like they will hold up to much weight. They would be fine to hold a couple of light items though.
