Great mower for the smaller garden.
Good quality mower. Lightweight and easy to handle. Ideal for the smaller garden and cuts the grass well. Adjustable cutting heights are very useful. Easy to assemble, but the instructions are a little confusing. The diagrams are very poor, but are adequate if you have had a Flymo previously.

Decent replacement
I had a Hovervac that died after 12 years so thought it would be worth replacing like for like. This seems slightly smaller and build quality a little more flimsy. However does a good enough job and is really light and easy to use although it doesn't hover as effectively as my last model. The vac is effective though and packs the grass nearly into the basket for easy emptying. Pleased overall

Lawnmower
I've only recently purchased this, and so far I'm not disappointed small and compact, suitable for the small to medium sized gardens but do not underestimate it. In my experience it was easy to assemble cut and collected the grass with no difficulties, there is a noise level but nothing disturbing, compact yes, good quality, its a good functioning machine. Cleaning it is not difficult. It does have safety functions and a speed and power suitable for its size. Would I recommend yes, particularly if your not a garden expert and want your garden to be neat and tidy.

Avoid like the plague.
The cutting height adjustment for this mower is achieved by unbolting the blade and putting in spacer rings. The spindle bolt would simply not budge on the first one I received, so I returned the mower for a replacement. The replacement arrived the following day, the bolt moved, and with some help from some Flymo videos online I set it up and put in the spacer rings for its lowest cutting height. Well there's a positive. However, after 11 months of struggling with this mower all I can say is: The mower works, of a fashion. It collects very little grass. It barely hovers and is difficult to push. Even with all the spacers in the cutting height is too high. It struggles to cut tougher, coarser grass, which has now become prevalent across my lawn as a consequence of its failure to cut properly and its inadequate grass collection. It's still got a month left of its warranty, but enough's enough. It's the worst lawn mower I've had in 50 years, by a country mile. I couldn't in all conscience sell it cheaply or even give it away, so that's it, it's off to the tip. Unless, like me, you want to struggle with this mower for months and ruin your lawn in the process, avoid like the plague.

Not impressed
Not up to the same standard as other Flymos. It is lightweight and budget friendly but at the expense of quality and efficiency. Isn't as smooth to glide across the lawn. As a frail person I found it It was difficult to push. Whereas my old much larger flymo was easy. Didn't seem to cut the grass very well either. Not that easy to put together. Needing strength i dont have. Had to get help to undo the nut to fit spacers. Would have sent it back but as its been used i am stuck with it. The positives....it is compact, it is light and it has a good length cable.

Good enough for the price!
Used this a couple of times now, and it seems fine enough. Considering the price, it does the job well. It doesn't always glide very easily along the grass, but it does go with a little push/lift. It seems to lift the grass well, it's powerful enough for what I need. For a small garden, it's ideal. The ability to fold up and hang in the garage is great! Very useful

Effortless Lawn Care — Compact, Powerful, and Surprisingly Fun
I wasn’t expecting to enjoy mowing the lawn, but the Flymo Hover Vac 250 changed that. It’s lightweight, easy to manoeuvre, and glides smoothly over the grass thanks to its hover design — no more wrestling with heavy wheels or awkward turns. The 1400W motor packs a punch, and the 25cm cutting width is perfect for small to medium gardens. The 15L grass box is a great size — enough to get through a full mow without constant emptying — and the ambidextrous handles make it super comfortable whether you're left- or right-handed. I also love how it folds flat for storage; it tucks neatly into my shed without taking up precious space. Setup was quick, and the orange and grey design is bright and cheerful. If you’re looking for a reliable, space-saving mower that makes lawn care feel less like a chore, this one’s a winner. Highly recommended!
