Xtava Black Orchid Hair Diffuser - for Blow Dryers with 1.8 inch Diameter Nozzle

I absolutely love this diffuser, it's changed my hair routine for the better and has cut the time in half at least. I have naturally curly/wavy hair and this leaves it looking amazing. I will never return to my old diffuser. The bowl is large, and this allows for more hair to be scooped up in one go, while the little holes in the prongs (I don't know what they're called) give extra drying power and amazing root lift! The only difficulty I had was finding a dryer to attach it to. It fits dryers with a 1.8 inch circumference, so I had a really frustrating search to find one. I eventually did, and I've left a review for the one I bought if it helps anyone else who might be searching for one. The one I bought fits the orchid perfectly. Nothing fancy but to use with this diffuser it does the job. Really glad I found this and would definitely recommend.

I didn’t think buying a different diffuser head would change the way my curls looked after diffusing but it really does make a difference. I previously used my GHD hairdryer and diffuser but after purchasing this diffuser head, it’s safe to say I will not be using my GHD anymore. I use this with my Dyson Airwrap and it fits well. It did not fit my GHD hairdryer which is a shame but I’m sure I can get an adapter for that. I would highly recommend buying this diffuser head if you’re not getting the results you want with your current diffuser.

The best diffuser ever. Very big and sooo good. I have long, curly hair. Well, this is so big that all the hair can be placed within the diffuser without any problems. This way, hair is dried even quicker and curls are kept perfectly. Also, will end up having a cast from the gel, thing that doesn't happen when I use other smaller diffusers (have a few..!). Only thing I would say, is hard to find a hairdryer that works with it. Remington keratin hairdryer can be used with this or baybyliss platinum. The only problem is, you would need to seal the diffuser to the hairdryer with some tape so it doesn't fall. But do it well so doesn't fall on your head cause is quite heavy! I was lucky to get the original xtava not a replica. So think it depends. But happy is the original one. Worth it 100% if you get it at £10. I bought it when it was £18 I belive so lost some money which I am not happy about. Took a star just because I paid more but the product can't be faulted.

What a great find. This defuser is absolutely great for drying curly hair. The bowl is large enough the get all the hair from each section in and has blowers all through its depth so dries the whole of the hair and you put in there and not just the ends. It also helps to encourage curls to form if you have curly hair. Helps to stop frizz developing. It not a universal defuser but there is a separate adaptor you can buy that will make fitting it to your hairdryer a breeze (Google defuser to hairdryer adaptor). Recommend.

The design is probably great but it doesn't fit any hairdryers. Not mine, mum's or hairdressers. Saw mention of the adaptor....spent £20 trying to source that and it works for 2 mins then pops off. It's ridiculous and incredibly frustrating. I should have stuck to the silicon oned I've used before as no one makes decent diffusers these days.

I measured my hair dryer and it was a perfect fit. Very good quality product and does a great job!

First time buyer of a diffuser as I'm exploring my curly girl journey and glad I went with this one! It fits my Dyson Airwrap with no additional attachments and doesn't fall off. Looks like a beast but doesn't add too much weight to it. I'd say just don't be to rough when taking it off so you don't accidently scratch the coating on the Dyson. I was skeptical with reviews claiming it was a fake but glad to know I received an original, unsealed with packaging.

I was super excited to buy this in hopes it would finally manage my hair. At first glance I was impressed with the packaging the product came in - a beautiful sturdy box with an intricate design. Nothing was damaged as a result. Unfortunately, the product is too small for my dryer despite having measured the diameter to ensure it fit with the measurements on the product info. I held it in place with my hand, albeit frustrating naturally as it kept falling off, the results was great! I’ll manage with the size error and keep using it. :)

The product is a true Xtava Black Orchid diffuser, not a fake, and does indeed fit the Dyson Airwrap. Though don't buy it on amazon if you can, it's crazy expensive and they have very random discounts, meaning that in the time it shipped to me and I had to deal with a broken security seal on my package upon arrival, there had already been two discounts on the product while I had paid full (way too expensive) price.... If I could I would have send their product back to try my luck at cheaper prices somewhere else, but ofcourse that's no option with a broken safety seal.

EDITED 10/5/17 - I was contacted by xtava after posting my initial review in response to my complaint that the Black Orchid Diffuser is NOT compatible with the xtava Double Shine Hair Dryer (see below). This is a company that stands behind their products and has excellent customer service. Within just a couple of days of posting my review, they already have a replacement hair dryer on it's way to me - their Pro model, which IS compatible with the Black Orchid Diffuser. Yea! Very pleased. The company is also going to see what it can do to stop Amazon pushing this product and the Double Shine Hair Dryer as "Frequently Bought Together." A couple of additional comments regarding the diffuser - Yes, it is HUGE, but for me that is a big plus. I can plop more hair into it, and I feel that in addition to cutting down on drying time, it allows my curls to dry in bigger sections, which results in less obvious "sectioning" of my hair when I'm done. Hard to explain, but I think it helps contribute to more fullness. The air flows out in many places on the diffuser, not just the base. There are several air holes all around the bowl of the diffuser and in the ends of the prongs. I feel like it really gets down to my roots no matter how much hair I have piled into the diffuser. Everyone knows it's easy to over dry the shafts and ends of the hair trying to get the root area dry. The bowl is nice and deep not at all like the typical diffuser with the prongs but flat base. I feel like the diffusers mimics the "scrunching" motion so many of us curly girls do with our hands and fingers, but it's easier on the hair. It is more like a gentle cupping motion rather than a hard scrunching or "mashing" the curls onto the scalp (if that makes sense). The diffuser cups the curls and holds them loosely in the bowl while air circulates everywhere around them. All in all, I am very pleased with this diffuser, which is anything but ordinary! INITIAL REVIEW - I love this thing! But I hate how it is NOT compatible with the Xtava Double Shine hair dryer. I see that the company acknowledges this in the answer to a question here, but it does not explicitly state that in the product description. And, Amazon lumps this diffuser with the Double Shine hair dryer in their "Frequently Bought Together" section that appears. I fell for it, and I bought both. They are definitely NOT compatible, which is very disappointing because I like the dryer and I like the diffuser, but if they don't work together, they're not much good to me. Also, unless I am missing something, it appears that none of the dryers this diffuser is allegedly compatible with (the xtava Pro, Verona or Peony) are available for purchase here on Amazon.

It fits my elchim ionic 3900 dryer perfectly. Dries my curls in less than 20 minutes and gives them lots of bounce! I wish i discovered this diffuser earlier!

Wowww de difusor, había escuchado que era muy bueno por lo que decidí probarlo y me encanto, abraza a los rizos por lo que me dejó mucho volumen y definición en mi cabello. Si bien, no le quedó a mi secadora tuve adaptarlo con una boquilla de silicon de un difusor plegable de viaje que se rompió. Lo recomiendo muchísimo!!! Muy buena compra.
