Snappy looking Easy install. Using rubber extra washer instead of metal washer
I purchased these for a heavy duty machinery laden trailer, holds a backhoe or a vertical lift, so tires get abuse.... I have removed two wheels in order to sandblast and paint, and decided that these valve stems would be ideal.... However I am not a keen proponent of metal on metal, so I am planning on using the smaller rubber washer on the inside (which is the right fit for the hole) and on the outside substituting the larger (and in my case, extra) washer down onto the rim so rubber is against the metal rim, and then securing with the nut. The metal washer that was supplied will not be used as it cannot go on top of the larger washer because then the nut has no thread to grab.... The photo shows the outside with the larger rubber washer and nut, while at the top it shows the inside of the rim with the smaller rubber washer, and the two “not used” metal washers are sitting on the rim to the left. (Excuse the rust on the rim, as that is why I removed the tires to address and paint) I am wondering if anyone else has done this alteration, and also if the manufacturer has any comment as to it being installed this way.... I also intend to take a small dab of Slime and apply it to the bottom of each rubber washer so there is that barrier between the rubber washer and the metal rim. This should inhibit any corrosion as well as seal it. As I am just starting the sandblasting/painting of these wheels, I have time before these will be permanently installed. Any comments and suggestions are welcome, so long as they are civil in nature! UPDATED: I have added a photo that shows my final decision on the valve stem installation.... I was able to compress the two washers enough, one on each side of the wheel hole, that I could still use the metal washer and get the nut on.... it is very nice and tight.

Great product get rid of the rubber ones
Good product I use them on all my trailer tires, they do rust a bit but I go into very dirty locations all the time so that plays a factor, I will purchase again this is my 2nd or 3rd bag, great seal, no leaks, looks great new, recommended

Good Quality
I had some steel trailer rims start to leak through the actual steel. Not at the weld or anything like that but rather through the steel, indicating the steel must have been porous and defective. I found the leak by submerging the tire in my pond. It was the second rim to have this problem. In my opinion, shouldn’t happen no matter how old they are. But it did. Completely flat overnight on a tandem axle trailer. Cold/winter (15-20 degree temps) made it much worse. Given the set was over 15 years old and no way to repair it, I bought all new rims and these valve stems to go with them. I swapped the tires over myself with a set of tire irons just to prove to myself I could do it if needed on the side of the road or something. No major issues but it is a little bit of work. I tried to reuse the rubber snap in valve stems since they were almost new like the tires but they get damaged upon removal. After using these metal stems, I won’t go back to that style. They went in very easily, have no leaks, and if needed I can easily reuse them. I really like the high pressure rating of these valve stems. My previous rubber snap in were high pressure but only rated up to 80 psi. These are good for up to 130 psi if I remember the specs correctly. There’s also no exposed rubber for UV sunlight to degrade. In years past, I’ve had rubber stems snap off after becoming brittle due to sunlight. This problem can’t happen with these.

I installed one of these in my 110 psi RV trailer tire today, and it is fantastic! I did notice that the valve stem core needed a slight tightening though. Well built product, thanks!

The stems arrived on time and in good condition. I am impressed on how well the workmanship is on these stems. Well worth the money. No problems.

Almost a really good product. Rubber won't deform to curves on rims so I had to return it. Needs a cone shaped rubber washer for both sides. Really nice all metal stems. But unless you have nice flat faces for your stems, good luck getting it to seal unless you have a really flat sealing face.

These all-metal valve stems fit perfectly in a 0.453" hole. There is a rubber gasket that is sandwiched between the base of the valve stem and the inside edge of the stem hole. A larger size gasket is also included in case you need it.. Once the external washer is tightened in place against the wheel with the included nut, the valve stem is incredibly strong and it will not bend or move. The seal is good and no air leaks from the tire. These are a really nice upgrade from the all-rubber stems.
