Heavy duty and well made
This trimmer may be a little expensive but well worth it. I have lost count of the number of trimmers we have purchased over the years that did not hold up. This one is heavy duty and paired with a harness it is easy to hold and finish the job. Highly recommend.

If You're on the fence about this one, JUST DO IT !
I've had this for a while but used it for the 1st Time Today. I've owned a Husquvarna Chain Saw for several Years now & figured if the Weed Trimmer worked as well as the Chain Saw has for Me it would be worth the purchase. It Did Not Disappoint ! - Cautionary Note : It'll Wear You Out !!! If You're Man Or Woman enough to use it, it will do the Job ! I don't know if this is considered to be a commercial Trimmer or not but I'd consider it to be. It is somewhat on the heavy side compared to others I've used, but it'll get the job done if You can handle it. The trigger that operates the head takes some effort to get used to due to it being on the underside of the shaft & the weight of the Trimmer pressing down while in use. The only need I can see as of now is I'm going to have to adjust the idle up a little as it has a tendency to shut off if You're not giving it a little gas to keep it going. All I can say about it at this point is if it gives Me as good of service as the Husquvarna 455 Rancher Chain Saw has, it will be money well spent as the Saw is the best I've ever owned. Best, PawPaw C Update : I have used this a good bit now, & it is a cutting 'Mochine !!! The only 2 quirks that I can see on this Trimmer are-as mentioned previously is the Trigger that operates the Head is in an awkward location as it is on the underside of the Shaft & the weight of the Trimmer is constantly pressing downward (Gravity) & the Trigger being sensitive to use it makes it difficult to keep the speed regulated while in use - it's in a constant state of wanting to run wide open & as good as this Trimmer cuts that just isn't necessary. Looks like to Me that there should be some type of throttle control that Husquvarna could come up with where You could "set it & forget it" instead of the Trigger type that's on it now. Another thing I don't particularly like is the bump type head, it would be more user friendly if it came with the type that uses the short lengths of pre cut Trimmer line that You replace when needed. There are several aftermarket Suppliers that offer these which I'm already looking into as a replacement. Again, this is an excellent Trimmer with just a couple of tweaks that would make it perfect IMO - No complaints with the performance as it'll get the job done ! Best, PawPaw C

This is an excellent homeowner grade tool
I’m not a pro landscaper, I don’t do dozens of lawns each week, I don’t use my line trimmer to clear cut forests. My home sits on 1.5 acres of land that I mow/trim on a pretty typical schedule. This trimmer is an excellent tool for my usage. It starts up easily, every time - just follow the instructions on the housing. It runs like a champ, and feels comfortable for me (6’2”). Just move the adjustable handle to suit you. Use the right mix of fuel. Use good line. And use the tool for its intended purpose - trimming! I know every time I go out to do the lawn I will pull the trimmer out of the shed, has it up, and go get it done. No hassles, no issues, no delays. It just does the job well. And then I put it away until the next time I do the lawn. If you use a line trimmer for a living, you’re not going to consider this unit - it’s not for your duty cycle. This is a homeowner grade line trimmer and I’m a homeowner that needs to trim. If I didn’t have it already, I’d definitely buy it.

Great trimmer/weed eater.
This is a very good weed eater/trimmer, everything works just fine. Easy to assemble because you only have to attach the handle & cutting guard. The only drawback or flaw is the gas tank is small, it needs to be bigger.

Easy to operate. Trimmer Plus attachments work but same poor longevity results as cheap units.
I decided to go with this unit because it is almost unanimously #1 for the best trimmer on residential trimmer lists. The #2 reason I purchased it is because I already owned 4 Trimmer Plus attachments. The later really forced my hand. I would've purchased a Stihl or Echo from a dealer had I not already owned attachments. This unit is easy to operate. The motor is lightweight (compared to my Craftsman) and the shaft is longer which is ergonomically easier on me than my previous model. I'm 6' 1" so the extra length is noticeably better. One thing I don't like is the carburetor choke switch. My side hits it sometimes and shuts off the motor. I also wish the unit had a harness like my Craftsman. It's nice to be able to let go and use my hands or help support the weight of the unit during operation. This Husqvarna makes a clangy noise like there is something wrong with the engine. I did some research and found out it's the clutch design. New owners need to know that. This unit needs several tanks ran through it before it starts to run well. I thought I bought a lemon based on the "loose part" noise I mentioned and a motor that just wan't reving up or hitting its power band. Returns like this are brutal on Amazon so I decided to "put it through the paces" first which was a good move. The motor broke in and self adjusted. My previous trimmer was a Craftsman 32 cc 4 stroke. It leaked oil from day #1 and had to be tossed due to a poor design with the string / recoil unit that couldn't b repaired. It's unfortunate. I really miss the torque and power. This Husqvarna is supposed to be one of the more powerful units available for residential trimmers but it pales to my Craftsman. It's ridiculous how effortlessly the Craftsman would dig into the dirt with the edger or chop through 2" trees with the brush hog attachment. This Husqvarna stalls out frequently doing the same tasks. It's hard getting used to the limited power this Husqvarna unit has compared to my Craftsman but I'm ASSUMING this unit will last longer than 3 years. I hope so because the power difference is really missed... especially with the blower. 6/7/2020 Update. I'm now downgrading this trimmer to 1 star. I had to take it in for service after minimal use for a bad coil. I've owned this unit for 2.5 months and ran 2.5 cans of the husqvarana fuel through it. I've never used any other kind of fuel. It starts great. It runs great. However, it now dies after it gets good and warm. I would estimate 20 minutes of run time. I bought it here from Amazon but they don't cover it past 30 days (maybe 60). Husqvarna is hard to deal with and I need it now for North Carolina summer so I'm paying a local service to fix it. They believe the coil already went bad. I have no good solution for trimmers. I've purchased cheap units that are throw aways after a couple of years. I hate a disposable mindset so I went for better this time. Unfortunately, I'm getting a similar result and will probably have to pay 50% to 75% of the purchase price to get it fixed. I will next time "pony up" for a Stihl and maybe even commercial grade. However, I know that will cost me a lot up front and probably the same as a "throw away" every other year to keep it maintained. Sad that trimmers have come to this.

Easy starting and large cutting area.
Happy with the purchase . Exactly what I was looking for. Lots of power to get through all the tough weeds on my property. Easy starting and line advancing.

Easy to start and it works perfectly. You have to mix gas and oil at 50:1 ratio. It's comfortable to handle and operate; no need for a shoulder strap. Powerful and it cuts through tall grass and weeds.

This is the best string trimmer I have ever used and I have used a few over the years which are toys compared to this one. It is not cheap but well worth the money.
