McCormick Gourmet Organic Roasted Ground Cumin, 1.5 Oz

Flavorful, savory, I really like this McCormick roasted ground cumin. Just seems to add an extra little *oomph* to foods, and I've not seen this at my two local grocery stores. We can get regular cumin, but not this roasted kind. When I make tacos, I use the Ortega taco mix packets (our favorite), but I'll add a half teaspoon of cumin to it. I also like to sprinkle it over fried eggs. If there are any Mexican-style leftovers, I'll reheat them in the microwave, sprinkle a bit of cumin on a tortilla, and wrap them up. Makes a great breakfast or lunch! We also like it in the queso dip made with 1 pound of Velveeta and 1 10-ounce can of Rotel tomatoes and chilis. I usually add about a half teaspoon. I've added it to spaghetti sauce (marinara), meatloaf, meatballs, home made salsa, chicken soup, chicken and dumplings, and, of course, pinto beans! Give it a try.

We LOVE this roasted cumin! It adds another layer of flavor in what ever you use it in. Once you try it, it will be hard to go back to plain cumin. I highly recommend this product.

Roasted ground cumin has been very difficult for me to find for the past few years. I was thrilled I was able to get this bottle and the flavor does not disappoint. It's an excellent addition to chili, and various Southwest or Indian dishes. The aroma end up the flavor are excellent and if you do not have this in your spice selection and are a regular cook I recommend you try it.

We have the cumin/soap gene. However this roasted version is much more palatable, not so aggressive.

I purchased this from Amazon because my grocery store never has it in stock anymore. The price was similar and the product is great.

My favorite cumin so toasty and warm.

I tried another brand of cumin on Amazon and it was very weak and without flavor. The McCormick product is vibrant and aromatic.
