Correct dimensions
The finished bridge is 20" long and 5" high. Amazon currently lists the "product dimensions" as that of the box the kit comes in. Fortunately, it's longer than that and was a pleasant surprise. Nice quality kit with lots of detail. Takes a while to assemble it, there's more to it than just slapping together the sides. Good if you want a nice detailed kit to build, but not ideal if you just want to take it out of the box and slap it down on your layout. The kit is just the bridge, so you have to supply your own track, abutments, and retaining walls.

Assembly required! Elf fingers would be helpful.
Although I may have missed it, I did not notice it required assembly. It took time and patience to put this bridge together, and the instructions were not clear as to how to place the parts to make them fit propertly. All required glue, the tiny slots and pin holes were of little value as they held nothing in place. I built it in stages, as the glue needed to set on sections before you could move on to the next. Perhaps this is typical of this type of product. The end result is it is a lovely replica and of value to the appearance of my layout.

A must for bridge builders
Exactly what I needed for a scratch built Howe Truss bridge. Plenty of shoes in a large variety, along with HO scale brackets.

Great looking bridge!
I enjoyed putting it together and it was a somewhat difficult. I thought the directions could have been more clear. I did have to refer to the picture on the box and do some trial and error fitting before gluing the pieces together. All in all, I was very pleased with the finished product. It looks great on my layout.

Works well for O gauge too
I am using many of the towers to elevate my gargraves and fast tract layout.

I expect better from Walter’s
Update: I believe they took a model kit off of a shelf, either from their own stock or copied it from someone else, and just figured out how to put a motor in it with gears. The parts have a copyright 1998 on them. I expect better from Walthers. They fell far short of my expectations for this model. Update: Cons list:(lost the rest of the stars here) -This kit seems like it is made to be harder than it needs to be(and not just for looks), -Some parts are missnumbered, -instructions are too vague with only an exploded view to go off of, -it’s made of extremely cheap plastic That’s easy to break(which it did break while building.), -The build areas/sections are too small for proper gluing, -It tells you to glue when you shouldn’t in some areas, -Some of the holes are wrong sized(not the gears that need to be tight), -the instructions keep telling me about things that this model needs(numerous) and i just found another one in the build phase (I need to add weights to the counter weight that doesn’t come with the model). -the holes for the wires need to be bigger and it’s almost impossible to get the wires through there and have them be able to pull through without hurting your model. -and more I’m just tired of listing them. I have built many models, scenery, and more. None are this hard, or poorly designed and made. I went to build this for my HO layout. I opened it and started reading the instructions. ~Lost two stars here: —I found out not only do I need the bridge track (like it did state on one of the pictures when I ordered it) but i also need a separate power supply, a certain specific switch, and plastic grease. That’s four separate items, I need besides this kit. Three of which are not even listed when you buy it. Talk about hidden costs. I expect better from Walthers. ~Lost a star here: -It is also very hard to understand the instructions when you don’t know anything about railroads. They state certain terms that you’re just supposed to automatically already understand. -even if you understand the instructions, it is still difficult to put together. -pros — you’ll have a built bridge and it might function. It might look OK. (you’re better off 3-D printing something (designing ) and then buying the motors and gears to make it work yourself)

Just What I Needed
The Walthers Cornerstone HO Scale Model Modernized Double-Track Railroad Truss Bridge Kit was just what I needed for my model railroad. The kit is very realist and I enjoyed putting it together. One ting that they don't tell you is that it takes half a tube of glue to put it together. There are lots more parts to glue together than I expected, but I'm very detail oriented so it was worth it. I recommend this kit.

Sehr gutes Buch. Breit gefächerte Informationen. Liebevoll geschrieben. Hat meine Lebenseinstellung total ins positive verbessert.

Typical Walthers kit with vague instructions. You will have to cut the main floor beams in order to make everything fit.

Instructions very poor in the box. Also seemed a little shorter then hoped when built.
