Tiger LWR-A092 Thermal Lunch Box, Champagne Gold

After reading the only other review, I had some trepidation buying this, but after seeing some friends of my two high school age kids carrying these to school for lunch, decided to give them a try. This particular model is small, and contains a small cup and a slightly larger bowl , along with a spork(spoon with a forked end). We had made some curry stew the previous night, so put that in the larger bowl , and put some rice in the smaller one (all heated up in the microwave right before storage), and off we sent our kids to see how it would go. When they got back from school that day, they were very glad they could finally bring heated up leftovers to school for lunch - no more half frozen pizza or burritos, and definitely not any more "hamburgers" made with patties with who knows what!?. They said that the food wasn't piping hot, but it was still warm enough, and nothing leaked. We didn't have any problems with leaks - the instructions are all in Japanese, but just looking at the pictures, you could see that there is a little "lip" on the bowl cover that you must make sure to put all the way down before you store it in the container. One issue though is the size - this particular model is small, maybe large enough for an elementary school lunch size. Our daughter is prety petite, so this was big enough for her, but not for our son, who really pack away food like a typical teenage boy. So we'll probably get him the next larger size. So overall we are quite happy with this purchase so far, and if any issues do arise, we will post updates. Now we can save some big $$$ by having the kids take hot, home made lunches to school - I wish we had found this years ago!!

keep warm perfect！

Definitely keeps food hot/cold longer than other brands. Super convenient that you can microwave containers; you can prepare them the night before. My complaint is that the lid for the largest container is not leak-proof like the smaller container is. Containers are also quite small.

The food won’t be piping hot after 5 hours but it does the job. Microwaving the container (without the lid) before putting it in the receptacle will help retain heat longer.

Tiger product is ok.

It’s great product. I like this brand for years. It’s pricey for this one but my daughter like pink. It keeps the food warm until lunch time. I test once. It can keep the temperature unless 6 hours. It’s kind of easy to clean but because the material, you need to clean wash them separate from other dishes. Other wise it will have the oily feel after you wash it with the same sponge. But for all, it’s great!!!

It was not a leak proof.....bad quality

Like it! My parents bought me the pink one when I was in high school and I'm surprised to see the product still remains the quality for these years. Those kind of lunch boxes need to be taken care of, a boiling hot soup or brutal hit towards the wall will cause damage, after all it's made with thin steel and plastic. Anyway....I love tiger;)

The outer case is damaged. Other than the defect the product looks genuine I would like to exchange but since I am leaving the country today I have no other choice but to keep it.

Brilliant - it keeps the food hot ( not warm) for 8 hours - I give it to my 8 year old for school- plus it's light weight so doesn't add to the weight she carries in her bag to school - totally worth every rupee- next buy will be the food jar - the only thing I would want a change in would be a prettier bag for the tiffin.

After 5 hrs, it's still warm! Plus, it's cute! Not for large eaters though!
