Best “go to” solder for RC electrical soldering!
I have been using this Forney 60/40 electrical solder for a few years now, but finally got around to writing a review: I have tried numerous different types of solder but this one in particular is my preferred solder for all of my RC electrical work. I use a Hakko 972 station and can use this solder from QS10 connectors to XT30 and smaller PCB to 22AWG solder work. It sticks well when used in conjunction with MG chemicals flux paste. Liquifies almost instantly with a solder tip @715°F. Sets in about 1second, which gives me plenty of time for any last moment adjustments. As long as a good flux is used, there’s never been a cold solder joint. Highly recommend.

works as it is supposed to
Accidentally ordered this instead of the stained lass solder. Also accidentally used it as a decorative treatment on copper sheet foil on a piece. Not on the tape at the edge of the glass. Didn't waste it but won't order it again.

Essential for high amp DC custom cable lug soldering.
This outstanding 60% Silver/40% lead rosin core solder is what we use at my school to teach electricians how to custom build high amp cabling for lithium battery packs for Energy Storage Systems. Crimping of the lugs is not allowed in my school. Only thorough propane torch-heated lugs with preprepared welder's oxygen-free 2AWG cables, pre-tinned with this solder, and this solder then melted halfway up the inside of the lug with this solder, and then the cable carefully and very, very, very slowly inserted into the heated lug, so that the hot solder slowly comes up into the strands of the welder's cabling. This is how we assure permanent and perfected continuity of custom cables. Face guard must be used because the cable may quickly slip into the lug and splash hot solder outward! Again; a face guard clear shield MUST be used! Each cable must be perfectly custom made, This is the only solder we prefer. Dan Petit/Petit Technical College

Works great
Very thick for the bigger solder jobs. I use this to fill 1/0awg copper lugs with solder and then I dunk the 1/0awg cable right into the liquid.

NEVER PURCHASING FROM ANYONE ELSE OR ANY OTHER SOLDER
This stuff is absolutely amazing. Salutations to the suppliers that provided quick and damage-free shipment! No matter what project I'm working on, the soldier melts like butter, applies really easily, and gives the impression that I know what I'm doing. Very Recommended

Careful to read content
Unfortunately I noticed Silver and ordered not paying attention to the 60/40. My bad but a reasonable deal and well packaged. Title should state "Silver color" and not "Silver". Most solders are silver color. Misleading.

Awsome 60/40elec solder
4oz of solder for this price and quality is hard to beat. Wire us a tad thick but for batteries and adapters, Perfect.

Not silver Solder.
This is not Silver Solder. This is tin and lead alloy. Not Silver like it says.
