Great bearing, much better than expected
I ordered a set of these for a woodworking project that needed a bearing which had as close to a 1/4" shaft diameter as I could find, and at 8mm, these come reasonably close. The thing that most impressed me about the bearings was that, while inexpensive, the build quality seems rather good at less than a dollar per bearing (though back when I ordered them shipping was a lot more, now they're even more of a bargain). Indeed I was contemplating spending upwards of seven dollars a bearing to get them from McMaster Carr before I found these. The shielding around the bearing is sturdy enough to clamp between two nuts when holding it onto an all-thread shaft, and the rotation is very smooth and noiseless, if requiring more force to turn than would be true of a more expensive bearing. For my woodworking project these have served wonderfully as low-duty bearing for low-speed belt/pulley based power transfer.

Great for fidget spinners IF YOU DEGREASE THE BEARINGS!
I bought these so my kids could 3D print and create fidget spinners. Unfortunately, these bearings do not spin very well. I also purchased https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XTZJDCC, which work great for fidget spinners (although they are a lot more expensive).EDIT: I ran across a YouTube video that showed me how to degrease these bearings. I didn't know that you have to degrease these bearings to use them for fidget spinners! The bearings have grease because these bearings are actually designed for skateboard wheels.Okay, now I know! You can use Dawn, Alcohol, or a variety of ways to degrease the bearings. I did not even remove the side caps! These bearings work great for fidget spinners when you degrease them! Yay! I am happy!

Decent cheap bearings
These plain and throughly pre-lubed(oh so very throughly so) permanently sealed bearings are most assuredly not what you want if you're looking for speed, however these would be perfect for that beat up old board that goes across blacktop/rough concrete/chipseal/etc that you don't want to spend a fortune on bearings just to wind up chewing them up in no time. Or maybe as a nice cheap temporary set to keep handy for just in case one of yours (or your friend's) good bearings decide to swarm. In my case, they're also the perfect thing for my cheap wally world window a/c unit that uses these in the fan motor, with spares for future replacements. (run nearly 24/7, factory set lasted 1 year, current ones from another place 3 years & just starting to squeal on occasion. Now for the adventure of tearing the thing down again and finding out how long these will last!)2012-03-24 update: These do not hold up well in a motor. One of the ones I put in my a/c fan motor just chewed itself up.2013-05-17 update: Second pair doing much better than first. I had re-lubed them with thicker oil this time, which seems to have done the trick. Likely the factory lube was just too thin for the application. (higher rpms + higher heat + skateboard quality lube = bearing quickly going dry)2014-10-06 update: a/c is dead now, too much freon has seeped out. Overall, this pack of 8 bearings was well worth it, they stretched the life of the unit several years past what it would've been originally.

Worked Well in My DIY Steadicam
I used one of these bearings in my DIY steadicam, and it worked very well. To inset the bearing and keep it in place, I used a small amount of Gorilla glue.My full build is online elsewhere as "All Wood DIY Steadicam." These bearings are flawless for my steadicam, moving freely and holding my Traxxas connector well. If you're going to use a Traxxas connector to interface with this bearing, you'll need to file down the Traxxas arm to fit the bearing.

These are good bearings. Not the high quality most modern boarders want, but great for projects. I used 4 for a spool holder I made for my 3D printer. The other 4 I used on a fidget spinner I printed. They a cheap, and great for prototyping. Then purchase ceramic bearings for the final projects. There is nothing wrong with these though. If you need cheap bearings then these will work. I find that you can't get the speed of spin conpaired to the ceramics, but they do have a decent consistent spin. That's what they are for. They do seem consistent enough for all but extreme use.

Perfect Fit
I hate to disappoint skateboarders, but my review has nothing to do with skateboards. It has everything to do with a walking assistant called a rollator, a 4-wheel walker for people who need some assistance walking. The warning on the device itself says not to use it as a wheel chair. Unfortunately, my wife and I went to ta local park and she got tired quicker than usual, and was unable to walk back on an asphalt trail. I took her back to the car using her walker as a wheelchair, and because of the previous wear and tear and then the added stress of the asphalt trail for about 1/2 mile, the bearings in the two rear wheel wore through the race and failed. Each wheel had inside and outside bearings, and when I removed them, there was a product type, these bearings that turned out to be for skateboards. I got a set of 8 and they arrived when expected, protected in a plastic zip pouch, and in minutes, I had her rollator back up and walking. The operation was silky smooth, and the bearings fit perfectly. I replaced the bearings in another rollator for a relative who had abused theirs, with the same results: perfect fit and no problems with installation or use. If you have problems with the bearings wearing on a rollator that you use heavily, these bearings seem to fit several models. It sure beats buying a new rollator.

They seemed different to the last set I ordered, maybe they were meant for a longboard? I use a regular skateboard. The previous set spun more freely; although, once I broke them in, they seemed to do a little better. I will continue to buy because for the price they are still a good deal, and good quality bearings. I recommend these bearings for anyone who does not want to spend $ 40,00 on a new set.
