I love this food coloring. It takes minimal drops to make true to color. It doesn't change the flavor of your frosting like some others I've tried. It also doesn't seem to stain everything. No Littles running around with blue mouths, lol.

I used this gel for 2 cakes recently - a bright pink disco theme cake and a fish cake for my son's 14th birthday. I was afraid that making bright colors from white icing and white cake would taste like the gross red icing from the store but thankfully everyone talked about how yummy the cakes were! I plan to use this dye with the homemade buttercream frosting from now on so I don't have to compromise the flavor to get colorful creations. I wish I had used it for the blue water instead of store bough icing because the store bought was a gross flavor but the green tasted great even though it was just as vibrant! I didn't have to use too much gel to get the colors I wanted and didn't notice any flavor changes and still have plenty left for future projects. I used the dye in both the white cake batter and the buttercream icing without issues - sometimes I've noticed that the gel can get clumpy but this was smooth and easy to incorporate. I used it to make the pink ombre cake and blue cake for the water. I also made a few stages of the pink icing and the bright green colors for the fish. I'll definitely be using this again!

I love this set. Has great colors that can be used solo or mixed to make more colors. They come sealed and you have to take off the caps, remove the seal, then put the caps back on. But the cap is great. It's flip top. You just squeeze the color out. And when close, it keeps the coloring from drying out. I had the W brand that came in tubs with screw caps. Those got messy, and you have to dip a spoon or a toothpick into the tub to get the product out. With how infrequently I bake and need coloring, I feel like I'm contaminating the coloring that way. If you're used to the W brand, the consistency of these colors are slightly thinner compared to the thicker almost pasty consistency of the W brand. Mixes a little easier. Color pay-off and quality of color is similar. A little goes a long way. You can make any shade of a color from pastel to very vibrant depending on how much coloring you add. It doesn't wet down your batter. I use for baking, icing, frosting, macarons... and for kids crafts like home made play dough and slime. I had the W brand set for years until they completely dried out. I hope this set lasts at least as long.

I like the variety of colors and they are a nice size, the drop applicator is definitely a bonus. The color is also very good and you don’t need a lot to get a vibrant color.
