Great for people who are above average height/weight
My old floor scale would give a different weight every time I got on, even a minute apart. This scale is worth the money. Very accurate. I am making small steps of progress dropping weight and it is really nice to be confident that what I am seeing is real. No surprises at the doctor's office, exact match. Sturdy design, I expect it will last a long time.

I like the auto on/off feature
I like the auto on feature - Just step on the scale. When stepping off the scale it also turns itself off after several seconds. No need to press power button. Seems to be good quality and esay to assemble.

No memory and no support rails
It's fairly easy to put together. Light enough to easily move. My wife is unsteady on her feet , was scared to get on it, and had trouble standing still long enough for the scale to declare a result. A grab bar option would have been very nice. I solved that problem by placing her walker behind the scale with it's grab bars coming out along side but that means I have to substitute for the walker while she goes to and from the scale. I have to help her move from the scale to a chair and try to remember the result or get back to the display before it turns off. A memory feature that could display the last value would be a great help and seems like it should be included for something this pricey. I knew these features were not included but didn't fully appreciate the difficulties until she started using it.

High quality and easy to read. We use it commercially and it is perfect!

Scale has a great reputation, but needs to be packaged better
The packaging is terrible. One end of the scale has an exposed cable that bends over outside of the plastic sleeve, and the weight of the box rests on it. Needless to say, it did not survive shipping, and the cable arrived cut/frayed straight out of the box. I have contacted Tanita for assistance. Will update my review with what they tell me.

Top Notch
I was having trouble getting accurate reproducible weights for my weight loss program with two cheaper scales. This Tanita WB-3000 is spot on accurate and you can step off and get on again, and get exactly the same reading. It also has a height measuring rod and scale, and a BMI calculator. My wife likes the way it looks in the bathroom also.
