not bad but not perfect.
I just received the mouse today and excitedly connected it to my Toshiba tablet.(my goal was to be able to use my tablet like a mini laptop) I would have deducted a 1/2 point if I could have. It's better than three but not worthy of 4 stars. The reason is, it does what it's supposed to do, however it feels a little glitchy.. Sometimes it takes a sec or two to recognize, usually after sitting idle for a few min. When you're scrolling with it, it seems jumpy. It doesn't have a smooth glide. It's not a deal breaker since it still accomplishes the job and it wasn't expensive but it could have been made a little better. I do like the look and feel of it though. There isn't a light that let's you know it's still on, so be sure to turn it off before you need stock in AAA batteries. The on/off switch is on the bottom.Update 11/5/13*I have tried to use this mouse to do normal searches and have found that the glitchiness just continues to annoy me, it even disappears from the screen in mid use and either takes FOREVER to come back, or I have to turn it off and back on so that it reconnects. This does not make for good time management. I have decided to deduct two more stars. It has potential but it has not met the standards it should have. I cannot work proficiently nor do simple browsing without just giving up and using the touch screen (which defeats the purpose)or just grabbing the laptop (which also defeats the purpose. I have never worked with a Bluetooth mouse before so I am not even sure if this is "normal" but if it is, then I'll be more than happy to go back to the USB wireless kind. I have requested a refund/return today and am waiting to hear back. Hopefully I can resolve this issue quickly and easily so that I can find another mouse that will function the way I need it to. I sincerely hate wasted time and effort.Update*Ok, So once i received my return slip and confirmation from HDE that they would refund my me once they have received the mouse, I had resolved myself to being back to the drawing board and needing a new mouse. It also turns out that my new Bluetooth keyboard arrived today once I had gotten home from work, while trying to test it out i decided to pull out the mouse again to get the feel for the whole package. Initially, the mouse would not work at all, I could see it but it would not move. I then thought that maybe it was my table, so I added a piece of paper, folded as it is in the envelope. Anyway, once I did that, I was actually surprised that it started working and working WELL. It may actually be that it is glitchy when being used on a table top. while at work it was functioning but not great, yet at home, it would not work at all on my table. With that said, It is quite possible that this mouse will work just fine with an actual mouse pad under it. That doesn't make it superior to other mice, but it isn't a total deal breaker. I received an email from HDE confirming the return and I was so impressed with how quick they were to respond and try to handle my concern that I feel the responsibility to let everyone know. GOOD Customer service is a rare find these days, so when I find it , I am happy to report it. One thing I am noticing though, is that when I use the mouse to move the curser back to an area to edit it, that the curser jumps ahead several spaces. This could be a keyboard issue and not the mouse at all. I still may end up returning this mouse, but I will give it a 2nd chance for a few more days. I will upgrade the stars to 3 based on the quick response I received from the company. I actually hope I am able to keep the mouse because I really don't want to have to search and search and search and then wait for another one. I hope this review is helpful to you all.

Better than expected
Ok to start, I didn't read the reviews for this product until I recieved it in the mail and to be honest most of the negative reviews are correct HOWEVER I hope I can put a few of you at ease with my experience. First, when it comes to pairing the device...yea, it kind of falls flat. The written instructions are no help at all and in fact are wrong. To pair it all you have to do is start scanning for devices while holding the left click, right click, and scroll buttons. Once you see the mouse and try to pair with it, you need to continue holding those buttons until it has completed the pairing. Once it was paired, for me atleast, I noticed that it was really glitchy, it kept turning off for no reason and the pointer was all over the screen (nexus 7). HOWEVER!! <---- I say however again because it needs to be noted; the device works perfectly! After I turned it off and threw it to the side for a while, I began to wonder if it was just the mouse itself or if it could be something else causing the issues. So, I turned off my bluetooth keyboard and decided to just use the mouse by itself for a while to test it. To my amazement, the mouse worked flawlessly from that point on, and not just with the keyboard off..I eventually repaired my bluetooth keyboard to find that its functionality was just as responsive as ever. I have been using it for a few days now with no problems, its no longer glitchy or turns off for no reason. I honestly don't know what changed from that first time I tried it, but to be fair to the product it does work very well. I can't give it 5 stars simply because the pairing is awkward and honestly, for $10 more, you could have a much more glitch-free mouse. But if you were in the same boat as myself, and already had it in your possession, then I can say confidently that it works perfectly and I dont believe the hardware itself is to blame for all the issues you see in other comments. Again I experienced those same issues, but it was not permanent. Not bad at all for the price.

it seems pretty solidly put together
The "pairing" trick can be a bit frustrating, since there are no included instructions of any kind - the advice posted by other reviewers, to hold down both left/right buttons and the scroll wheel at the same time DOES work, but with some devices, you'll also be asked to enter a PIN number before the mouse itself will allow the pairing connection and of course, no such PIN number is included in the packaging, so you're on your own. The Android software suggested 0000 or 1234 and one of those finally worked, but it took several tries, so if at first you don't succeed, don't throw it at the wall just yet. When it does sync up, the cursor will magically appear on your device screen. I also had no problems using it on a darker colored mouse pad. As for the quality of construction, it seems pretty solidly put together, just a tad smaller than a full-size mouse, but not uncomfortable for guys with big hands. The battery compartment is oddly spacious for just two AAA batteries, I imagine if you carry it around in a briefcase or purse, they might become dislodged and need to be pushed back in snug, but that's life on the road. All in all, It appears, after a brief initial test run, to be as advertised, no problems. Printed instructions (in English) would be a plus. Oh, and the on/off switch on the bottom is teeny and easy to forget, so remember to power it down when not in use to conserve batteries.

If at first you don't succeed. . .
I would like to have given this mouse 5 stars because it is now working perfectly. However, on arrival, it had problems. Pairing took a long time and, when accomplished, connection was intermittent and the cursor kept sticking. The trouble seemed to be the switch which was loose. HDE were quite helpful. They first offered to replace it β but I thought that a replacement may have the same problems. They then offered to refund it and said I did not need to return it. I accepted that and decided to investigate the problem. The mouse is easy to take apart as the top is only held in place by one screw. There are no warranty seals. I looked at the switch and found the it hadn't been soldered in place. Soldering it was not too difficult as it only has two tabs. That done, the mouse was reassembled and it now works perfectly. If you get one that behaves like mine did, don't bother to mend it. Just ask HDE to replace it and the chances are that you'll get a good one. They are very co-operative and will see that you get a good one in the end.

Was easy to connect via Bluetooth and was very practical
Was easy to connect via Bluetooth and was very practical, but I give it one star π as it stopped working with a few weeks. Quality build wise I'd average but what do you expect for the price. Amazon have me a refund anyhow.

Not bad!
Used this to connect to my mobile devices. Don't use it so much any more, but works great with my tablet and phone, especially when playing Clash of Clans.

Seems to work fine on my Note 10.1, pairs ok, not sure what the fuss is about.Functions on Android are a bit different to a MS PC mouse so needs getting used to.
