The Hammond Manufacturing 1551RFLBK is a nice little project box that is made in the USA. It is made of fairly thick black ABS plastic and is designed so that the "lid" has two slotted mounting flanges that protrude beyond the sides of the box. The lid is molded with an inner rim that lines up with the inner sides of the box walls. Two small black screws are provided to fasten the lid to the box. Two circuit board standoffs are molded into the base of the box. No screws are provided for the standoffs.Hammond makes the box in several sizes. I ordered the "R" size which is advertised as 1.97" square and 0.79" deep (50mm x 50mm x 20mm). These are outer dimensions. I didn't use a micrometer on the box so the following measurements are a little rough. The thickness of the plastic is approximately 3/32", so the interior of the box is about 1 3/4" square with a depth of a little over 1/2". The two PC standoffs are about 1/8" high, so you only have a little over 3/8" in depth after mounting the board. The only reason I am emphasizing this is because 3/8" isn't much depth to work with especially if your design has a display. You may want to re-check the dimensions of your project to make sure it will fit before ordering. Overall, good project box...five stars.

Box is well built, think plastic but measure 3 times and buy once. I thought I had the right size, but it was about 1/4 inch to small to hold the circuit board and components. Not it's fault, but I think they should specify both inside and outer specs because of the think plastic it's made of.

These are great enclosures. I'm currently using one for a small circuit that I use with my Raspberry Pi and another to house a VoCore single-board computer. The plastic also holds up well to drilling holes for wires.

Great project boxes for automotive relay applications. I use them all the time to hold a relay and then pot them. Holes are great for attaching to vehicles. Perfect for any small projects inside or out.

Just large enough to fit the Sunkee DC Power Jack Socket DC-022 and a two way toggle switch neatly inside. Drills well, nice quality plastic.

Great little project box

Good enclosure for TinyDuino project. I plan to attach this box to my dog's collar for GPS tracking.
