Dobraye ootro.I have received my Russian Ushanka winter headgear in the color black. I like it very much.Positives: It is well made, the false fur feels very soft and looks great, it smells fine, and the price was good. The fit was just right. You might order the next size larger as it may tend to run a little tight. It is very warm, comfortable, and looks stylish. I will wear it to church service when it is cold. The metal cap emblem of communist Soviet Union looks great, but I find it difficult to wear it on my head due to some negative tendencies of Soviet Union over past decades of history. I will put the cap divice in my historic military insignia collection.Negatives: The tie strings could be about one inch longer than they are. My fingers will not tie such a tiny bow. I got one of those plastic spring loaded things with a button on the side that tightens on two cords to hold the cords in place. It works fine to secure the ear/chin strings at the tension I prefer.I recommend this winter headgear and would buy another if I needed two. I like it a lot.Bal'shoye spaseeba, Vlad. It came with a larger metal clip however it had no way to attach it.

I got my hat yesterday and have used it today in 15 degree weather (2 degree wind chill) while it was snowing and it kept my head very warm and dry. The ear and neck protection was outstanding. Of course this is nothing compared to Russian or Canadian winters but I think it would still keep me plenty warm even if the temperature was 40 degrees colder. The quality is great. It does shed a little bit the first few times you wear it so be aware of that.Also, if you do not want a hammer sickle emblem, look at the other hats by this same company. I did not realize that I can get the same hat but with a different emblem until a few hours before it was delivered. Had I known, I would have gotten the hat with the black eagle since it's not directly associated with communism the way the hammer and sickle emblem is.

Awesome winter head gear, NOT A HAT! It's an ushanka. As soon as it arrived (2 days later) I ran into my garage and opened up the package and beheld this wonder of soviet cold weather clothing. I put it on and my bust of Lenin, Marx, and Putin smiled at me and nodded in approval while whispering "seize the means of production". Visions of Russian bears clutching copies of the communist manifesto and Driving ladas ran through my head. My statue of Joseph McCarthy, however, said things I shall not repeat. All in all very happy with my purchase. The capitalist lap dogs of Wall Street that live next to me are not.

I love love love this hat. I wear it everywhere & constantly get comments on it. It is incredibly warm and comfy. It's solidly put together. I've worn it ears tied back and ears down works well either way. I had read some comments about difficulty with the pin, mine came with it attached. No prob removing or reattaching the emblem.When you first receive your ushanka, lightly brush it. Mine had a little loose material from cutting it out but once brushed no issues. Trying not to gush to much, but I love this thing and I'm gonna get another.

I love this hat and it is almost perfect in every way. The only thing I didnt like about it is the communist symbol is really hard to get on the hat,, it doesnt come affixed and it is good material so you either have to cut holes through this great tough material to fit these 2 little dinky metal wings through the hole to hold it there (poorly) or cut the fur off of the hat and hot glue that bitch, which is what I did. It has held up but I wish it came already fixed on there to ensure that it will stay well and be evenly placed

Sizing: it's important to measure from the top of your outer ear canal ( at the back of your head) around near your brow bones (corners).Liner: I don't like the polyester liner, but I always hate those. High static discharge.Materials: could be better, but realistically, really well made. Way better than most things these days.

Bought this for my boyfriend who wanted to dress up as a "Russian person" for Halloween. However, when he received it he loved it so much that he started wearing it around the house just for fun. He said he can definitely wear it outside as well. It's incredibly warm and made out of quality materials. Looks authentic (I'm Russian!). The insignias did not come attached and attaching them was the only hard part; it took some muscle to poke holes through the hat for them.The fit is somewhat confusing, but make sure to read the website for proper sizing instructions. Luckily ours fit fine!

Very comfortable, soft and warm, and the Soviet insignia is very easily removed.It's my favourite new hat.

This hat is of high quality, genuine and very warm. My son loves it.
